Yingfeng Riverside Park
The Yingfeng Riverside Park () is a park along the Keelung River in Zhongshan District and Songshan District of Taipei, Taiwan. History The park was completed in 2002. Geography The park covers an area of 60 hectares. Facilities The park features facilities for skating, softball, football, baseball, wood ball and miniature golf. The park also features Taiwan's first leash-free sports park for dogs, which measures approximately 1 hectare in area and contains two parts, one for big canines and the other for smaller ones. It includes dog-waste removers, eight benches and four wash basins. Transportation The park is accessible within walking distance south of Dazhi Station of Taipei Metro. Songshan District is a District (Taiwan), district of Taipei, Taiwan. The Songshan Airport and the Taipei Arena are located here. History Songshan was originally named Malysyakkaw, a lowland Ketagalan word meaning "Where the river twists". Its written form () was abbreviated () in 1815 during Taiwan under Qing rule, Qing rule. The Taipei Metro Dazhi station is located in the Zhongshan District in Taipei, Taiwan. It is a station of Brown Line. Station overview This two-level, underground station features an island platform, three exits, and a platform elevator located on the south side of the concourse level. Keelung River
The Keelung River ( zh, c=基隆河, p=Jīlóng Hé, w=Chi1-lung2 Ho2, poj=Ke-lâng-hô) is a river in northern Taiwan. The Keelung River originates in the mountains west-northwest of the town of Jingtong in Pingxi District, New Taipei City, flows down to a rift valley and then flows ENE to Sandiaoling. Then it flows northward to a point between Jiufen and Keelung City, and then heads back in a general WSW direction to Taipei, where it joins the Tamsui River and flows out to sea. The land around the Keelung river was rich in gold and coal, and many areas were mined. Geology Park along the river is Dajia Riverside Park. Pollution The Keelung River is heavily polluted by both raw sewage and industrial pollution from illegal industry.
