Yella (film)
''Yella'' is a 2007 German drama- thriller film written and directed by Christian Petzold and starring Nina Hoss. The film is an unofficial remake of the 1962 American film '' Carnival of Souls''. ''Yella'' premiered at the 57th Berlin International Film Festival where Hoss won the Silver Bear for Best Actress award. Plot Following a separation from her husband, Yella Fichte plans to leave Wittenberge for a new accountancy job in Hanover. Her husband, Ben, insists on giving her a ride to the train station. She reluctantly agrees. When she refuses to return to him, he becomes abusive and won't let her out of the car. He drives through a bridge siding into a river. They both escape the crash, but Yella leaves him unconscious on the shoreline and catches her train. On her arrival, she is approached by Philipp, a businessman, about becoming his assistant. Antoine Carraby (born December 11, 1961), better known by his stage name DJ Yella, is an American DJ, record producer, and film director from Compton, California. DJ Yella began his career as a member of the World Class Wreckin' Cru along with Dr. Dre. He later joined the pioneering gangsta rap group N.W.A (originally composed of Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Arabian Prince and Eazy-E) and became the least vocal but longest-lasting member of the group. His first and only studio album '' One Mo Nigga ta Go'' was released in 1996 through Street Life Records and was dedicated to Eazy-E. Markies Deandre Conway (born October 22, 1991), better known by the stage name Yella Beezy, is an American rapper from Dallas, Texas. He is best known for his 2017 single " That's On Me", which entered the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and received gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Yella Pessl (originally Gabriella Elsa Pessl; January 5, 1906 – December 9, 1991) was an American harpsichordist, pianist and organist. Yella Venkateswara Rao is an Indian classical musician and percussionist, considered by many as one of the leading exponents of Mridangam, an ancient Indian percussion instrument. He has performed as an accompanist to such renowned musicians as M. S. Subbulakshmi, Ravi Shankar, Chembai, Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, M. Balamuralikrishna, L. Subramaniam, K. J. Yesudas, Amjad Ali Khan, Hariprasad Chaurasia and Bhimsen Joshi. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2008, for his contributions to music.
