Yehia Chahine (, ) (28 July 1917 – 18 March 1994) was an Egyptian film producer and an actor of film and theatre. He is most notable for his role in the Egyptian Cinema's film adaptations of the ''Cairo Trilogy'', a trilogy written by the Nobel Prize-winning Egyptian author Naguib Mahfouz. Life and career Yehia Chahine was born in Imbaba, Giza. His father's name was Yehia Chahine too. He received a diploma in performing arts and started acting in theatre. His first performance was in the play ''Murtafa`t wa Darag'' (''Heights and Stairs''). In 1935, he acted in his first film. He acted in numerous films, but his most notable role is that of Al-Sayyid Ahmad Abd al-Jawad, a Cairene patriarch, in the ''Cairo Trilogy'' films. Yehia El-Fakharany
Yehia el-Fakharany (; born 7 April 1945) is an Egyptian television and film actor. Early years El-Fakharany earned a bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery from Ain Shams University in Cairo in 1971. He was a member of the university's theatre troupe, and he won the best actor award at the level of Egyptian universities. After his graduation, El-Fakharany practiced medicine for a short period as a GP in the Medical Services Fund within the Egyptian television, and he intended to specialize in psychiatric and neurological disorders, but his passion for acting pushed him to leave the medical profession and chose to fulfill his desire to be an actor. He thus began his artistic career on stage where he starred in the play "Everyone with His Own Truth" (LiKullin Haqiqatuhu, لكلٍ حقيقته). Yehia El-Mashad
Yahya El Mashad (; 1932 – 14 June 1980) was an Egyptian nuclear scientist who headed the Iraqi nuclear program. He was killed in a Paris hotel room in June 1980, in an operation generally attributed to the Mossad. Early life and education El Mashad was born in Benha, Egypt in 1932. He was educated in Tanta and graduated from the Electrical Engineering Department in the Faculty of Engineering at Alexandria University in 1952. Although he traveled to London to gain his doctorate in 1956, due to the Suez Crisis he eventually traveled to Moscow to complete his studies. He spent about six years in the Soviet Union before returning to Egypt in 1964 to accept a professorship in nuclear engineering at Alexandria University. Yehia Hakki
Yahya Haqqi (Arabic:) (7 January 1905 – 9 December 1992) (or Yehia Hakki, Yehia Haqqi) was an Egyptian writer and novelist. Born to a middle-class family in Cairo, he was a lawyer by profession who graduated from the Cairo School of Law in 1925. Like many other Egyptian writers, such as Naguib Mahfouz and Yusuf Idris, he spent most of his life as a civil servant, supplementing his literary income; he eventually rose to become adviser to the National Library of Egypt. In his literary career, he published four collections of short stories, one novel (''Umm Hashem's Lamp''), and many articles and other short stories. He was editor of the literary magazine '' Al-Majalla'' from 1961 to 1971 when that publication was banned in Egypt. Mohamed Yehia Zakaria (born May 10, 1938) is an Emirati businessman of Egyptian origin. He is the longest-serving chief executive of the beverage industry in the Middle East. He is the co-founder and was chief executive of Dubai Refreshments (Pepsi), in Dubai, and institutionalized the soft drink industry in the Middle East. Education and career A graduate of Cairo University with a bachelor's degree in Commerce, Mohamed Zakaria arrived in Dubai in 1960 to gain work experience and then afterward, attend Michigan State University where he had been accepted for an MBA.
