YaÅŸar (singer)
Murat YaÅŸar Günaçgün (born 5 April 1970), known by the mononym YaÅŸar, is a Turkish pop music artist. Life and career Murat YaÅŸar Günaçgün was born to Mustafa Erdal and Mukaddes Leyla Günaçgün. His family originates from Çukurova. He attended Adana İsmet İnönü Primary School and later enrolled in Adana Special New High School (New College). While at high school, he was part of the school orchestra. He first performed on stage in November 1985 on Teachers' Day. In 1987, he moved to Istanbul and enrolled in Marmara University's business school. While studying, he continued to perform at various venues, including Moda Han Bar. In addition to performing, he started writing poems during this period. In 1991, he formed a small band with whom he took the stage in Mersin. After graduating from Marmara University, he received his master's degree in international finance from Istanbul University. Bengü Erden (born 2 April 1979) is a Turkish singer. She became first familiar with music during her time at the İzmir State Symphony Orchestra. In İzmir, she was cast in a leading role in the musical "Oliver Twist". She later took singing lessons with İzmir State Conservatory's general manager, Müfit BayraÅŸ. In 1998, by performing a song by Müfit BayÅŸara, she ranked second at the competition ''Pop Show '98'', organized by Mü-Yap and Show TV. She then studied music at Istanbul Academy. Ayla Dikmen (25 March 1944 – 20 August 1990) was a Turkish singer. Biography Born in Kütahya on 25 March 1944, Dikmen began her professional singing career with Yavuz Özışık. She met Åžerif YüzbaşıoÄŸlu behind the scenes at a radio program and joined his orchestra under the stage name "Parla Nur". She was selected the best female singer at the second BoÄŸaziçi Music Festival in 1964. In 1965, she won the Balkan Melodileri Festival with the song ''Niksar'ın Fidanları''. Ezginin Günlüğü (''Melody's Diary'' in Turkish) is a Turkish band formed in 1982 in Istanbul by Emin İgüs, Hakan Yılmaz, Åžebnem BaÅŸar, Tugay BaÅŸar, and Vedat Verter. Shortly after its foundation, three new members joined the band: Nadir Göktürk, Tanju Duru, and Cüneyt Duru. They made their first concert in 1983. Their first album, ''Seni Düşünmek'' (To think of You), was released in 1985. The original group dissolved itself in 1990, following personal disagreements on the kind of music different members wanted to make.
