Yazmeen Ryan
Yazmeen Ann Ryan (born February 25, 1999) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward or a midfielder for the Houston Dash of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) and the United States national team. She played college soccer for the TCU Horned Frogs and was drafted sixth overall by Portland Thorns FC in the 2021 NWSL Draft. She played for two years in Portland before joining NJ/NY Gotham FC. Ryan has won two NWSL Championships, one each with Portland and Gotham. Early life Ryan grew up in Norman, Oklahoma, and attended Norman North High School. She played for the club team Oklahoma Celtic. As a freshman, she led Norman North to their first-ever girls soccer state championship. Gotham Football Club is an American professional Association football, soccer team based in the New York metropolitan area that competes in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). The 2022 Portland Thorns FC season was the team's tenth season as a professional women's soccer team. Thorns FC plays in the National Women's Soccer League, the top tier of women's soccer in the United States. NWSL Playoffs
The National Women's Soccer League playoffs (or NWSL playoffs) are a single-elimination tournament among eight teams in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) of the United States. The final round of the playoffs is the NWSL Championship. Since playoff games cannot end in draws, they are broken by two consecutive 15-minute extra time periods, followed by penalty shoot-outs of best-of-five rounds with additional rounds as required. The NWSL Challenge Cup is an annual supercup competition organized by the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), a division 1 women's league in the United States soccer league system.
