Yatterman Wii
is a Japanese anime television series broadcast from January 1, 1977 to January 27, 1979, comprising 108 episodes. It is the second and longest show in the ''Time Bokan'' series by Tatsunoko Productions. The series succeeded ''Time Bokan'' and preceded ''Zenderman''. It was also the final series to be produced by company founder Tatsuo Yoshida prior to his death. A remake of ''Yatterman'' aired on NTV and Yomiuri TV from January 14, 2008 through September 27, 2009, with the original voice actors for the Doronbo gang. A live-action adaptation was released theatrically in March 2009. Another entry in the franchise, ''Yatterman Night'', began airing in January 2015 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the ''Time Bokan'' franchise. Tatsuo Yoshida
was a Japanese manga artist, illustrator, as well as anime pioneer who founded the animation studio Tatsunoko Production as a businessman and the original author of many anime works. As the first president of Tatsunoko Production, Yoshida supported the dawn of Japanese animation by producing numerous hits such as ''Speed Racer'', ''Hakushon Daimaō'', '' The Adventures of Hutch the Honeybee'', and '' Science Ninja Team Gatchaman''. He took on challenges that other animation studios did not, such as insisting on producing his own original animation that was not based on manga or novels, or creating American-style animation. Sho Sakurai
(born January 25, 1982) is a Japanese singer, songwriter, rapper, actor, news anchor, host and former radio host. He is a member of the boy band Arashi. Sakurai began his career in the entertainment industry when he joined the Japanese talent agency Johnny & Associates in 1995 at the age of 13. Yoshiko Ōta
(born as Yoshiko Saka (阪 淑子)) (April 25, 1932 – October 29, 2021) was a Japanese voice actress from Hyogo Prefecture, affiliated with Theatre Echo. Career Ōta joined Takarazuka Revue in 1947, and remained with them until 1952. She joined Theatre Echo in 1963. Personal life She married fellow voice actor Osamu Saka, whom she met while a member of the Takarazuka Revue. The couple moved to Tokyo in 1964. Ōta passed away from heart failure at the age of 89 on October 29, 2021. Her death was announced on November 9th by Theatre Echo. Yatterman (film)
is a 2009 Japanese action comedy film directed by Takashi Miike and based on the anime television show of the same name. The film premiered in Japan on March 7, 2009. The film was released on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in the United Kingdom by Eureka on May 12, 2012, while Discotek Media released the film in North America in 2013. Plot In Tokyoko, a fictional city sporting various homages of Tatsunoko Production works, the Doronbo Gang have seemingly destroyed a large part of the city.
