Yatin Rele
Yatin Kashinath ReleSome sources give his first name as ''Yatindra''. (born 26 September 1933) is an Indian former first-class cricketer and banker. Rele was an opening batsman. He played for Bombay University when they won the Rohinton Baria Trophy in 1954–55 and in 1955–56, when he captained the team. He represented Bombay in nine matches in the Ranji Trophy between 1955 and 1957, including the finals in 1955–56 and 1956–57, both of which Bombay won. In the 1956–57 final, after Services made 171 in their first innings, Rele batted throughout the Bombay innings, scoring 162 not out in a total of 359 for 7 declared off 142 overs; Bombay then dismissed Services for 150 to win by an innings. In the sport of cricket, a declaration occurs when a captain declares his team's innings closed and a forfeiture occurs when a captain chooses to forfeit an innings without batting. Declaration and forfeiture are covered in Law 15 of the '' Laws of Cricket''. This concept applies only to matches in which each team is scheduled to bat in two innings; Law 15 specifically does not apply in any form of limited overs cricket. Services Cricket Team
The Services cricket team plays in the Ranji Trophy, the main domestic first-class cricket competition in India. Under the auspices of the Services Sports Control Board, they represent the Indian Armed Forces. Their home ground is the Palam A Ground, Model Sports Complex, Delhi. Records The Services team first played in the Ranji Trophy in 1949–50. They played in the North Zone of the competition until 2001–02, and have played in the Plate Group and other lower-ranked groups since 2002–03, except for one season, where they played in the Elite Group, during 2005–06. The Ranji Trophy (also known as Mastercard Ranji Trophy for sponsorship reasons) is a domestic first-class cricket championship played in India between multiple teams representing regional and state cricket associations. The captain of a cricket team, often referred to as the skipper, is the appointed leader, having several additional roles and responsibilities over and above those of the other players.
