Yasmine Azaiez
Yasmine Azaiez (born 16 October 1988) is a British-born violinist of Tunisian descent. She currently resides in Tunisia. Education Yasmine began to play the violin when she was just four years old. When Yasmine was eight years old, she was accepted into the Yehudi Menuhin School in Surrey, England. She began performing on stage at around eleven years of age, and, when she was seventeen years old, she earned second place at the "Young Musician of the Year Competition" in Sevenoaks, Great Britain. The panel of that competition consisted of teachers from the Royal College of Music in London who praised her for her talent, professional approach, and stage presence. She continued her studies there until 2008. During her time at the Yehudi Menuhin School, she was an active participant in concerts put on by the school. Yehudi Menuhin School
The Yehudi Menuhin School is a specialist music school in Stoke d'Abernon, Surrey, England, founded in 1963 by violinist and conductor Yehudi Menuhin. The current director of music is the British classical pianist Ashley Wass. The school is one of the five established musical schools for school-age children in the United Kingdom, along with Chetham's School of Music, Wells Cathedral School, the Purcell School and St. Mary's Music School, Edinburgh. It is mainly funded by the Department for Education's Music and Dance Scheme, by philanthropic foundations, by donations and bequests from individuals, and by regular support from the Friends of the Yehudi Menuhin School.
