Yaroslav Filchakov
Yaroslav Filchakov ( uk, Ярослав Олександрович Фільчаков; born 13 October 1995) is a Ukrainian Greco-Roman wrestler. He competed at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships, winning the bronze medal in the men's Greco-Roman 82 kg event. Filchakov was against Burhan Akbudak for which the score was 5-1, in which he was awarded the bronze medal along with Tamás Lévai. He competed in the 80kg event at the 2016 World Wrestling Championships held in Budapest, Hungary. In 2020, he competed in the 82 kg event at the Individual Wrestling World Cup held in Belgrade, Serbia. He competed in the 82kg event at the European Wrestling Championships in 2019, 2021 and 2022. In 2021, he won one of the bronze medals in the 82 kg event at the Grand Prix Zagreb Open held in Zagreb, Croatia. Greco-Roman (American English), Graeco-Roman (British English), classic wrestling ( Euro English) or French wrestling (in Russia until 1948) is a style of wrestling that is practiced worldwide. 2020 Individual Wrestling World Cup
The inaugural 2020 Individual World Wrestling Cup was held in Belgrade, Serbia from 12–18 December 2020. It was a replacement event for the 2020 World Championships, which should have taken place in the same location, but since some criteria were not fulfilled, such as not less than 8 top nations from the previous championships to participate, the event is not counted as world championships. The Cup took place amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused this and other problems. The United States for instance chose not to participate.
