Yannis Christopoulos
Yannis Christopoulos (alternate spelling: Giannis) (born on 7 June 1974 in Patras) is a Greek professional basketball coach for Promitheas Patras of the Greek Basket League and the EuroCup. Coaching career Christopoulos began his coaching career in 1996, at the age of 22, with the youth departments of the Romanian club CS Universitatea Mobitelco Cluj-Napoca. He then became an assistant coach with Apollon Patras, where he worked under head coach Dirk Bauermann. He also worked as an assistant coach under Bauermann in the German club Brandt Hagen. Christopoulos' career as a club head coach started in 2004, in Cyprus, with Proteas EKA AEL. He was also the head coach of Apollon Patras. As the head coach of APOEL, he won the Cypriot League championship in 2010. He became an assistant coach under Dirk Bauermann again, this time with Bayern Munich. Svetislav "Kari" Pešić ( sr-cyrl, Светислав "Кари" Пешић; born August 28, 1949) is a Serbian professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of the Serbia men's national team. Playing career During his club playing career, Pešić played with Pirot (1964–1967), Partizan (1967–1971), and Bosna (1971–1979). Dirk Bauermann (born 10 December 1957) is a German professional basketball coach. Playing career Bauermann played club basketball in the German senior club of BBC Krefeld, from 1975 to 1981. Club coaching career Bauermann was an assistant coach at Fresno State University, with the Fresno State Bulldogs, from 1986 to 1988. He was then an assistant coach with the German League club TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen during the 1988-89 season, before becoming the team's head coach prior to the 1989-90 season. The Cypriot Basketball Super Cup is a men's professional basketball competition in Cyprus, organized by the Cyprus Basketball Federation. It is contested by the champion of the Cypriot First Division and the winner of the Cypriot Cup.
