Yann Pierre Tiersen (born 23 June 1970) is a French Breton musician and composer. His musical career is split between studio recordings, music collaborations, and film soundtracks songwriting. His music incorporates a large variety of classical and contemporary instruments, primarily the electric guitar, the piano, synthesisers, and the violin, but he also includes instruments such as the melodica, xylophone, toy piano, harpsichord, piano accordion, and even a typewriter. Tiersen is often mistaken for a soundtrack composer; he himself states that "I'm not a composer and I really don't have a classical background," but his real focus is on touring and recording studio albums, which are often used for film soundtracks. Tracks taken from his first three studio albums were used for the soundtrack of the 2001 French film ''Amélie''. Yann Moix (, ; born 31 March 1968) is a French author, film director and media commentator. He is the author of ten novels and the recipient of several literary prizes. He has directed two feature films. He was a columnist on the talk show '' On n'est pas couché''. Early life Yann Moix was born on 31 March 1968 in Nevers, France. Yann Alain Kermorgant (born 8 November 1981) is a French former professional footballer who played as a striker. Club career Early career Born in Vannes, Morbihan, Kermorgant began his career with the Stade Rennais Youth Academy, but aged 14 he was the victim of leukaemia, and his career was halted for four years. He was signed for Vannes after initially playing at district-level but impressed the manager on trial. He spent two seasons at Vannes before joining Châtellerault for the 2004–05 season. is a Japanese musician, composer, record producer, writer, and steelpan player based in Tokyo. In Japan during the 1980s and 1990s, he pioneered various music genres, including hip hop, dub, acid jazz, exotica, and electronic music. He is the first professional Japanese steelpan player, first Japanese hip hop producer, and the president of the Audio Science Laboratory record label, which he founded. Yann Ekra (born 10 December 1990) is a former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Born in Ivory Coast, represented France at youth international level. Yann Annabelle Piat (née Marie; 12 June 1949 – 25 February 1994) was a French politician. She served in the National Assembly from 1986 to 1994, first with the extreme right party National Front, then with the centrist party Union for French Democracy.
