Yanko Georgiev
Yanko Georgiev ( bg, Янко Георгиев; born 22 October 1988) is a Bulgarian football goalkeeper who currently plays for Pirin Blagoevgrad. Career Black Sea coast Born in Burgas, Georgiev have played for locals Pomorie, Chernomorets Burgas, Naftex Burgas, Chernomorets Pomorie, PFC Burgas and Neftochimic Burgas. With Neftochimic Burgas he signed on 15 June 2016 after the team was administratively promoted to the newly established Bulgarian First League, taking the place of A Group. He made his debut for the team on 21 August 2016 in a match against Beroe Stara Zagora keeping a clean sheet for the 1:0 win. On 20 September 2016 he played in the Bulgarian Cup match against Etar Veliko Tarnovo, won by Neftohimic after penalties. Bulgarian Cup
The Bulgarian Cup ( bg, Купа на България, Kupa na Bulgaria) is a Bulgarian annual football competition. It is the country's main cup competition and all officially registered Bulgarian football teams take part in it. The tournament's format is ''single-elimination'', with all matches being one-legged, except the semi-finals. The competition's winner gets the right to take part in the UEFA Europa Conference League. If the winner has already secured a place through the Bulgarian A Professional Football Group, the team that has come ''fourth'' in the championship substitutes it. The competition has been dominated by Sofia-based teams. The Sofia teams have won together a total number of 65 titles. The three most successful teams are Levski Sofia (26 cups), CSKA Sofia (21 cups) and Slavia Sofia (8 cups). The current cup holders are Levski Sofia, who beat CSKA Sofia 1–0 in the 2022 final. 2007–08 A Group
The 2007–08 A Group was the 60th season of the Bulgarian A Football Group since its establishment in 1948 and the 84th of a Bulgarian national top football division. The season began on 11 August 2007 and ended on 17 May 2008. CSKA Sofia won their 31st record league title. Last time they scooped the title was in 2004–05 season. CSKA won the league without a single defeat, 16 points ahead of their archrival Levski Sofia. Despite the convincing results during the season, CSKA failed to get a UEFA license to participate in the Champions League due to unpaid debts. The guilt for the disaster in the club was taken by their chairman Aleksandar Tomov. Valentin Plamenov Galev ( bg, Валентин Пламенов Галев; born 1 January 1984) is a Bulgarian professional footballer currently playing for Kostinbrod as a goalkeeper. He also serves as a goalkeepers coach for Vitosha Bistritsa. Career Valentin Galev earned his first professional contract with Lokomotiv Sofia, signing from their academy in 2002. Vladislav Romanov ( bg, Владислав Романов; born 7 February 1988) is a Bulgarian former professional footballer who played as a winger. Career Romanov is a product of CSKA Sofia's Academy having joined the club at the age of 7. He was a part of the side that won the 2007 Bulgarian Under-19 Championship, beating Levski Sofia on penalties in the final. Romanov scored the final penalty to give CSKA the victory. In January 2008, after a short trial period, Romanov joined Lokomotiv Mezdra.
