Yanis Meziane
Yanis Meziane (born 26 January 2002) is a French middle-distance runner, who specializes in the 800 metres. He won the 800m at the 2023 European Athletics U23 Championships. Career Meziane was a bronze medalist in the 800m at the 2021 European Athletics U23 Championships in Tallinn, Estonia, in a time of 1:48.56. He was selected for the senior 2022 European Athletics Championships in Munich, Germany, but did not progress from the heats, running a time of 1:47.82. He ran under 1:45 in the 800 metres for the first time, achieving a time of 1:44.78 in Paris in the Diamond League on June 9, 2023. Meziane won the 800m at the 2023 European Athletics U23 Championships in Espoo, Finland, in a time of 1:45.92, finishing just ahead of Great Britain's Ethan Hussey and compatriot Paul Anselmini. He entered the Diamond League race in Monaco in July 2023, and ran a personal best time of 1:44.30. Ethan Hussey (born 5 March 2003) is an English middle-distance runner specializing in the 800 metres. He won a bronze medal at the 2022 World Athletics U20 Championships in the 800 m. Career Hussey first represented the United Kingdom at the 2022 World Athletics U20 Championships, where he won a bronze medal in the 800 m. This earned him the Athletics Weekly British male under-20 athlete of the year award for 2022. The following year, Hussey won a silver medal at the 2023 European Athletics U23 Championships in the 800 m, finishing narrowly behind Frenchman Yanis Meziane. He missed the 2023 British Worlds team by just half a second, finishing fourth at the British trials. 2025 World Athletics Indoor Championships
The 20th World Athletics Indoor Championships were held from 21 to 23 March 2025 in Nanjing, People's Republic of China, at the newly built Nanjing's Cube gymnasium in the Nanjing Youth Olympic Sports Park. 2024 Diamond League
The 2024 Diamond League was the fifteenth season of the annual series of outdoor track and field meetings, organised by World Athletics. The competition was a revision to the top level athletics series since Diamond League foundation in 2010. The number of Diamond Discipline events was 32. Each meeting will host a number of Diamond Discipline events and some of these events will not be broadcast.
