Shaluli Mountains
The Shaluli Mountains (), known in Tibetan as Powor Gang, are a large mountain range in western China between the Upper Yangtze (Jinsha) and Yalong Rivers. It is one of the core ranges of the Hengduan group of mountains. The Shaluli Mountains stretch over 500 km from Dege County, Sichuan in the north to Shangri-La County, Yunnan in the south. The highest peak of the range is Ge'nyen Massif at above sea level. Other subranges in the Shaluli Mountains include the Chola Mountains to the north, the Zhaga Mountains to the east, the Yading massif in the south, and Haba Snow Mountain at the southern edge of the range. Batang County (; ) is a county located in western Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, People's Republic of China. Government address: Xiaqiong Town, Batang County, Ganzi, Sichuan 627650. Area code: 0836. The main administrative centre is known as Batang Town or Xiaqiong Town. 1990 statistics give its population as 47,256, with 42,044 living in rural areas and 5,212 living in urban areas. Ge'nyen Massif
The Ge'nyen Massif (), is a mountain in the Shaluli Mountains of western Sichuan province, China. With an elevation of , it is the third highest peak in the province. It was first climbed in 1988 by a Japanese team. The Ge'nyen massif is regarded as the 13th most holy mountain among the 24 holy mountains of Tibetan Buddhism.
