Al-Yamani (Shiism)
The Yamani or al-Yamani () is a pre-messianic figure in Shia Islamic eschatology, who is prophesied to appear to the people to guide them to the truth of Imam al-Mahdi, the ultimate savior of mankind from the Shia viewpoint and the final Imam of the Twelve Imams. Yamani's personality According to Shia sources, it is not clear whether al-Yamani is one of descendants of Hasan ibn Ali or Husayn ibn Ali. A tradition by Ja'far al-Sadiq about Yamani ancestry said, " nefrom the lineage of my uncle Zayd will rise from Yemen." There are different names for al-Yamani in different traditions, such as "Hassan", "Hussein", "Saeed", "Mansour", and "Nasr". Muhammad, prophet of Islam, called him "Nasr" because he will come before Imam al-Mahdi. In some sources, al-Yamani is mentioned as someone who invites people to the Imam al-Mahdi. Mai Yamani
Mai Yamani (; born 6 September 1956) is an independent Saudi scholar, author and anthropologist. Early life Yamani was born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1956 to an Iraqi mother from Mosul and a Saudi Arabian father from Mecca, the former Saudi Minister Ahmed Zaki Yamani. Her paternal grandfathers came from Yemen, hence the surname Yamani ("from Yemen"). Her early education included schooling in Baghdad, Iraq and Mecca, Saudi Arabia. She attended secondary school at the renowned Château Mont-Choisi in Lausanne, Switzerland, from 1967 to 1975. Ahmed Zaki Yamani
Ahmed Zaki Yamani (; 30 June 1930 – 23 February 2021) was a Saudi Arabian politician who served as Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources under four Saudi monarchs from 1962 to 1986, and a minister in the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) for 25 years. With degrees from institutions including New York University School of Law, Harvard Law School, and a doctorate from the University of Exeter, Yamani became a close adviser to the Saudi government in 1958 and then became oil minister in 1962. He is known for his role during the 1973 oil embargo, when he spurred OPEC to quadruple the price of crude oil. In December 1975, Yamani and the other OPEC ministers were taken hostage by the terrorist Carlos (the Jackal) in Vienna, Austria. Ahmad Yamani
Ahmad Yamani (Arabic: أحمد يماني; born 1970, Cairo) is an Egyptians, Egyptian poet and translator. He graduated from Cairo University in 1992 and got his PhD in Arabic philology from Complutense University in Madrid. He now lives in Spain where he works at the broadcaster RTVE. Clarissa C. Burt, writing the Journal of Arabic Literature, classifies Yamani as a "nineties poet". Ahmad Al-Hasan Al-Yamani
Ahmed al-Hasan () is an Iraqi Shia Muslim religious leader. He has been called the most prominent of figures claiming to be the messianic al-Yamani, in the chaos following the US invasion of Iraq in 2003. In Twelver Shi'ism Islam, the majority religion of Iraq, al-Yamani is "the deputy of the Mahdi, the Twelfth Imam, and a precursor to his Reappearance" and to End Times. Umara Al-Yamani
Najm al-Dīn Umāra al-Ḥakamī al-Yamanī () was a Sunni historian, jurist and poet of Yemen of great repute who was closely associated with the late Fatimid Caliphate of Egypt. He was executed by order of Saladin at Cairo on April 6, 1174 for his part in a conspiracy to restore Fatimid rule.
