Yahorlyk Bay
Yahorlyk Bay () is a shallow water bay near the coast of Ukraine (between peninsulas Yahorlyk Kut and Kinburn peninsula), northern Black Sea. The bay is separated from the sea by chain of islands Dovhyi Island, Dovhyi and Kruhlyi. It is separated from the Gulf of Tendra by Yahorlyk Kut, and from the Dnieper-Bug estuary by the Kinburn Peninsula. The water body has 26 km long, 15 km wide, up to 5 m depth. Black Sea
The Black Sea is a marginal sea, marginal Mediterranean sea (oceanography), mediterranean sea lying between Europe and Asia, east of the Balkans, south of the East European Plain, west of the Caucasus, and north of Anatolia. It is bounded by Bulgaria, Georgia (country), Georgia, Romania, Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine. The Black Sea is Inflow (hydrology), supplied by major rivers, principally the Danube, Dnieper and Dniester. Dovhyi Island
Dovhyi Island is a small sandy island in Ochakiv Raion, Mykolaiv Oblast in Ukraine. The island along with Kruhlyi island serves as a separation of Yahorlyk Bay from Black Sea located at the western part of the bay. It is located to the south from Kinburn peninsula. Gulf Of Tendra
Gulf of Tendra or Tendra Bay () is a shallow water bay off the coast of Ukraine (south of the Yahorlyk Kut peninsula), northern Black Sea. The gulf is separated from the sea by the Tendra Spit. The gulf is 45 km long, 7 km wide, and up to 6 m depth. It is included in the Black Sea Biosphere Reserve. From 1993 to 2003 it was included in the Montreux Record. Encyclopedia Of Ukraine
The ''Encyclopedia of Ukraine'' (), published from 1984 to 2001, is a fundamental work of Ukrainian Studies. Development The work was created under the auspices of the Shevchenko Scientific Society in Europe (Sarcelles, near Paris). As the ''Encyclopedia of Ukrainian Studies'' it conditionally consists of two parts, the first being a general part that consists of a three volume reference work divided in to subjects or themes. The second part is a 10 volume encyclopedia with entries arranged alphabetically. The editor-in-chief of Volumes I and II (published in 1984 and 1988 respectively) was Volodymyr Kubijovyč. The concluding three volumes, with Danylo Husar Struk as editor-in-chief, appeared in 1993. The encyclopedia set came with a 30-page ''Map & Gazetteer of Ukraine'' compiled by Kubijovyč and Arkadii Zhukovsky. It contained a detailed fold-out map (scale 1:2,000,000).
