Ya Hsien
Ya Hsien (1932 – 11 October 2024), real name Wang Ching-lin, was a Taiwanese poet and scholar. Early life and education Ya Hsien was born in Henan province in China in 1932. Henan Province
Henan; alternatively Honan is a province in Central China. Henan is home to many heritage sites, including Yinxu, the ruins of the final capital of the Shang dynasty () and the Shaolin Temple. Fu Hsing Kang College
The Political Warfare College (), also known as Fu Hsing Kang College (復興崗, "Renaissance Hill"), is a military academy in Beitou District, Taipei, Taiwan. During the Japanese occupation period, this location was the racetrack of Beitou; after Chiang Ching-kuo's inspection, on July 15, 1951, it became the campus of the formerly known "Political Worker Cadres School". The College was modelled after the pre-war Moscow Sun Yat-sen University; it was intended to provide the Republic of China Armed Forces with political commissars loyal to the Kuomintang regime. On 1 September 2006 the College became part of the National Defense University, thereby ceasing to be a stand-alone institution. Luo Fu (poet)
Mo Yun-tuan (; 11 May 1928 – 19 March 2018), known by the pen name Luo Fu (), was a Taiwanese writer and poet. Early life He was born Mo Yun-tuan in 1928 and raised in Hengyang. Mo's first work was published in 1943. He joined the Republic of China Navy, and moved to Taiwan in 1949. Mo received a bachelor's degree in English from Tamkang University in 1973, the same year he retired from the navy. He married Chen Chiung-fang of Kinmen. Career In Taiwan, Mo published several collections of poetry, anthologies, and essays, as well as a number of translations. His own works were translated into several languages. Mo and his contemporary Yu Kwang-chung were described as the Gemini of Chinese poetry, in reference to the constellation depicting the mythological twins Castor and Pollux. The Epoch Poetry Society (Chinese: 創世紀詩社) is the largest and longest-running literary group for modern poetry in Taiwan, and it is still operating today. Co-founded by the Epoch Poetry Trio poets Chang Mo (張默), Luo Fu (洛夫), and Ya Hsien (瘂弦) in 1954 in Taiwan, the poetry society was initiated in the military, and its early members and organization had a distinct military style.
