YU Rock Misija
YU Rock Misija (known in English as YU Rock Mission) was the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia's contribution to Bob Geldof's Band Aid campaign, which culminated with the Live Aid concert. It consisted of recording the "Za milion godina" charity single and staging a concert held at Red Star Stadium in Belgrade on 15 June 1985, both featuring top acts of the Yugoslav rock scene. The proceeds from both the single and the concert were given to Band Aid. Generacija 5 ( sr-Cyrl, Генерација 5; trans. ''Generation 5'') is a Serbian and Yugoslav rock band formed in Belgrade in 1977. The mainstay members of the band are keyboardist and band leader Dragoljub Ilić and guitarist Dragan Jovanović. At the beginning of their career the band performed jazz rock. With the arrival of vocalist Goran Milošević, the band moved to hard rock, releasing a number of hits during the late 1970s and early 1980s, disbanding in 1982. In 1985, former members of the band played a pivotal role in YU Rock Misija, the Yugoslav contribution to Live Aid. The band reunited in 1982, releasing two studio albums since. Aleksandar "Aki" Rahimovski (5 June 1955 – 22 January 2022) was a Croatian and Yugoslav rock musician of Macedonian descent. Best known as the vocalist of the highly popular band Parni Valjak, Rahimovski is widely considered one of the most prominent vocalists and frontmans of the Yugoslav rock scene. Rahimovski started his musical career as a teenager, as keyboardist and vocalist for several Macedonian bands, before joining Zagreb-based Parni Valjak in 1975. With Parni Valjak he achieved large success in the second half of the 1970s and nationwide popularity in the 1980s, the band managing to maintain their popularity in all former Yugoslav republics after the dissolution of the country. Xenia was a Yugoslav pop rock band from Rijeka, active from 1981 to 1985. Their discography includes two 7-inch singles singles and two studio albums. Biography The band was formed in 1981 by Vesna Vrandečić and Robert Funčić. Their debut album ''Kad nedjelja prođe'' (''When Sunday's Over'') was recorded in "Tira Recording Studio" in Torsby, Sweden, produced by Tihomir Varga, and was released by Jugoton. The two biggest hits from this album were "Iznenadi me" and "Moja prijateljica". Bajaga i Instruktori (Serbian Cyrillic: Бајага и Инструктори; trans. ''Bajaga and the Instructors'') are a Serbian and Yugoslav rock band formed in Belgrade in 1984. Marina Perazić
Marina Perazić (born 29 May 1958) is a Croatian singer and DJ. Born in Rijeka, she gained prominence as a member of the synth-pop group Denis & Denis, which she formed with keyboardist and vocalist Davor Tolja, the two later joined by vocalist Edi Kraljić. In 1986, she left Denis & Denis to start her solo career. As a member of Denis & Denis, Perazić gained nationwide popularity, becoming one of the biggest stars of the Yugoslav rock scene and often being described as a sex symbol. After releasing her debut album ''Marina'' in 1987, she moved to New York City, where she spent the following ten years without recording or performing. Atomsko Sklonište (transl. ''Fallout shelter, Atomic Shelter'') is a Croatian and SFR Yugoslavia, Yugoslav hard rock band, formed in Pula in 1977. Known for their early anti-war concept, as well as their later hit songs, Atomsko Sklonište were one of the most prominent acts of the Yugoslav rock scene. Sergio (Serđo) Blažić "Đoser" (8 April 1951 – 18 January 1987) was a Yugoslav rock musician, best known as the lead vocalist of popular hard rock band Atomsko Sklonište. Blažić was the group's frontman since its formation in 1977 until his death of Hodgkin lymphoma in 1987, recording seven studio albums and two live albums with the group. Vladimir "Vlatko" Stefanovski ( ; born January 24, 1957) is a Macedonians (ethnic group), Macedonian folk rock, ethno-rock jazz fusion guitar virtuoso. Biography Vlatko was born into a typical theatrical family. His parents, as artists, often traveled, so soon Stefanovski moved to Skopje, in the neighborhood Taftalidze.
