YT Industries
YT Industries is a German mountain bike manufacturer. Founded in 2006, the company operates in a direct-to-consumer model. YT also has showrooms at their headquarters in Hausen, Upper Franconia, Hausen, Germany, and "YT Mills" in San Clemente, California; Guildford, Surrey, England; and Bentonville, Arkansas. With its origins in dirt jumping and Freeride (mountain biking), freeriding, YT has expanded its lineup to include all forms of mountain biking and gravel biking. Enduro (mountain Biking)
Enduro is a type of mountain bike racing where the downhills are timed, and the uphills are mandatory but not timed. Riders are timed in stages that are primarily downhill, with neutral "transfer" stages in between. The transfer stages usually must be completed within a time-limit, but are not part of the accumulated time. Aaron Holmes Gwin (born December 24, 1987) is an American professional downhill mountain biker from Morongo Valley, California. He is a five-time World Cup overall champion. Race career Aaron Gwin started his cycling career racing BMX from the age of 4. By age 8, Gwin was racing at a national level. At age 12, Gwin moved on to motocross and raced up until he was 17, when he quit due to constant injuries. In 2008, at age 20, Gwin was loaned a bike by fellow professional downhill racer and good friend Cody Warren and was encouraged to compete in a race. The Red Bull Rampage is an invitation-only freeride mountain bike competition held near Zion National Park in Virgin, Utah, United States, just to the north of Gooseberry Mesa. From 2001 till 2004, it was held off the Kolob Terrace Road, on the western boundary of Zion National Park. History The competition took place from 2001 till 2004. However, by 2005 the organisers canceled due to the increasing risk competitors were taking. After a three-year hiatus, Rampage returned in 2008 at a new venue. Cameron "Cam" Zink (born March 8, 1986) is an American professional freeride mountain bike rider and X Games athlete. Personal life Zink is from Carson City, Nevada. He started mountain biking at age 9 and when he was 16 won the junior national championship in dual slalom. He was signed by the Santa Cruz Syndicate team when he was 17. Andreu Lacondeguy is a Freeride Mountain biker and Freestyle motocross athlete from Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, born 12 January 1989. He is a 2013 Munich X-Games bronze medalist in the Mountain Bike Slopestyle event and a Red Bull Rampage Winner in 2014.
