Xihu Metro Station
The Taipei Metro Xihu station is located in the Neihu District in Taipei, Taiwan. It is a station on Wenhu line and opened on 4 July 2009. Station overview This three-level, elevated station features an island platform, two exits, and a platform elevator located on the east side of the concourse level. Unlike other stations on Brown Line, the concourse of this station is located above the platform level. On the eastern and northern walls of the station is a public art display. Titled "Crossing-Transformation", the aluminum and pottery brick piece can be perceived differently if viewed from different angles. Notably, this is the only non-terminus elevated station on the Wenhu line that features trains opening its doors on the left rather than on the right. Neihu District
Neihu District is a District (Taiwan), district of Taipei, Taipei City, Taiwan. Neihu means "inner lake." The older name originates from the Ketagalan word ''Tayour'' (transliterated by the Dutch as ''Cattajo''), meaning woman's head ornament. Many mountainous roads and paths, which are ideal for hiking, connect Neihu with the neighboring Shilin District and Yangmingshan National Park. The Taipei Metro Jiannan Road station is located in the Zhongshan District in Taipei, Taiwan. It is a station on Wenhu line and a future transfer station to the Circular line as part of the second phase. Taipei Zoo Station
Taipei Zoo station is a terminus on the Wenhu line and Maokong Gondola Line of the Taipei Metro, and the planned Circular line of the New Taipei Metro. It is located in the Wenshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. Station overview This three-level, elevated station features two side platforms and two exits. It is located on Xinguang Rd., Sec. 2. In order to deal with patronage to the zoo, an underground parking lot was constructed. It connects to the Maokong Gondola and Taipei Zoo. It will be a transfer station and terminus with Circular Line in 2029, which is expected to bring a lot of convenience to districts in outer Taipei and New Taipei by saving a lot of commuting time. An island platform (also center platform (American English) or centre platform (British English)) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are sometimes used between the opposite-direction tracks on twin-track route stations as they are cheaper and occupy less area than other arrangements.
