Xaver Schlager
Xaver Schlager (; born 28 September 1997) is an Austrian footballer who plays as defensive midfielder for Bundesliga club RB Leipzig and the Austria national team. Club career Red Bull Salzburg After playing for the youth team of SC St. Valentin, Schlager joined the FC Red Bull Salzburg Academy in 2011, where he played in all teams. In 2015, Schlager was transferred to FC Liefering, the feeder team of FC Red Bull Salzburg. During the 2017–18 season, Salzburg had their best ever European campaign. They finished top of their Europa League group, for a record fourth time, before beating Real Sociedad and Borussia Dortmund thus making their first ever appearance in the UEFA Europa League semi-final. The 2017–18 UEFA Europa League knockout phase began on 13 February and ended on 16 May 2018 with the final at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais in Décines-Charpieu, France, to decide the champions of the 2017–18 UEFA Europa League. The Austrian Football Second League (german: 2. Liga) is the second-highest professional division in Austrian football. It was formerly called the First League (''Erste Liga''), from 2002 to 2018. The 2018–19 UEFA Nations League was the inaugural season of the UEFA Nations League, an international association football competition involving the men's national teams of the 55 member associations of UEFA. 2023 DFL-Supercup
The 2023 DFL-Supercup was the 14th edition of the German super cup under the name DFL-Supercup, an annual football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal competitions. The match was played on 12 August 2023. The match featured Bayern Munich, winners of the 2022–23 Bundesliga, and RB Leipzig, winners of the 2022–23 DFB-Pokal. It was a rematch of the 2022 edition, which Bayern won 5–3. Though usually hosted by the DFB-Pokal winners, the Deutsche Fußball Liga selected Bayern Munich to host the match at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
