X Games Aspen 2015
Winter X Games XIX (re-titled Winter X Games Aspen '15; styled as Winter X Games Nineteen in the official logo) were held from January 21 to January 25, 2015, in Aspen, Colorado. They were the 14th consecutive Winter X Games to be held in Aspen. The events were broadcast on ESPN. The games featured participants from the United States, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Japan, New Zealand, France, Switzerland, Italy, and Australia. Participating athletes competed in six Skiing events, eight Snowboarding events, and five Snowmobiling events. There was also a '' Counter-Strike: Global Offensive'' exhibition tournament organized by Major League Gaming. The United States won 31 of 57 medals awarded, with nine other countries medalling. Aspen, Colorado
Aspen is the List of municipalities in Colorado#Home rule municipality, home rule city that is the county seat and the List of municipalities in Colorado, most populous municipality of Pitkin County, Colorado, United States. Nate Holland (born November 8, 1978, in Sandpoint, Idaho) is an American snowboarder. Omar Visintin
Omar Visintin (born 22 October 1989) is an Italian Snowboarding, snowboarder, specializing in snowboard cross, for which he won a silver and a bronze medal for at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games. Visintin competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics for Italy. Kevin Hill (born June 27, 1986) is a Canadian snowboarder. He competes primarily in snowboard cross and represented Canada in this event at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang. Iouri Iourеvich Podladtchikov (, born 13 September 1988) is a Russian-born Swiss snowboarder. He rides goofy stance. He has competed since 2000. He won the gold medal for the halfpipe at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Early life Podladtchikov was born in Russia in Podolsk, a city near Moscow and relocated with his family to Switzerland in 1996 at age four. Taku Hiraoka
is a Japanese snowboarder, from Gose, Nara. He won silver in the halfpipe at the 2013 FIS Snowboarding World Championships. In the 2014 Winter Olympics, he won a bronze in the halfpipe. Later in 2014, he came in second behind American Taylor Gold in the Red Bull Double Pipe. At the 2015 Winter X Games held in Aspen, Colorado Hiraoka won the silver medal in the Superpipe in finishing second behind American snowboarder Danny Davis' Gold medal effort. Danny Davis (snowboarder)
Danny Davis (born June 22, 1988, in Highland, Michigan) is a professional snowboarder. He was voted 2006 Rookie of the Year in the Transworld Snowboarding Riders Poll Awards, 2006 Rookie of the Year for Snowboarder Magazine, and 2008 Snowboarder Magazine Top 10 Riders of the Year. In January 2010 Davis won a snowboard Grand Prix event but not a spot on the US Olympic Team for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
