XYZ Entertainments, also known as 'Xamplo Yapa Zed' (XYZ) which means 'Zambian Example' in Bemba and Nyanja, is a Zambian Music Record Label in Lusaka. It was founded by Mwila Musonda AKA Slapdee who is regarded to be one of Zambia's music pioneers. Bemba Language
Bemba (natively known as ''Chibemba, Ichibemba'' and ''Chiwemba''), is a Bantu language spoken primarily in north-eastern Zambia by the Bemba people. History Bemba is spoken in rural and urban areas of the region, and is one of Zambia's seven recognized regional languages. Dialects Bemba has several dialects, which include Chishinga, Lomotwa, Ngoma, Nwesi, Lala, Luunda, Mukulu, and Ng’umbo. The Twa of Bangweulu speak another dialect of Bemba. Phonology and orthography The orthographical system in common use, originally introduced by Edward Steere, is quite phonetic. Its letters, with their approximate phonetic values, are given below. Chewa Language
Chewa ( ; also known as Nyanja ) is a Bantu languages, Bantu language spoken in Malawi and a recognised minority in Zambia and Mozambique. The noun class prefix ''chi-'' is used for languages, so the language is often called or Chinyanja. In Malawi, the name was officially changed from Chinyanja to Chichewa in 1968 at the insistence of President Hastings Banda, Hastings Kamuzu Banda (himself of the Chewa people), and this is still the name most commonly used in Malawi today. In Zambia, the language is generally known as Nyanja or '(language) of the lake' (referring to Lake Malawi). Slapdee
Mwila Musonda (born April 27, 1987), known professionally as Slapdee, is a Zambian hip hop and rap musician. Having won multiple awards since his debut in 2006, he is often regarded one of the pioneers of Zambian hip-hop. Early life Slapdee was raised by his aunt, after losing his parents and brother. Because of his aunt’s career, he moved around often, even attending schools in Botswana and South Africa. During his high school years, Slapdee returned to Zambia where he befriended future musician Hamoba, and the two started making music together. He has helped bring to light many upcoming artists including Xaven The Kopala Queen Music career His musical career began in 2006 when he released "Asembe Isebenza". Mass Media In Zambia
Mass media in Zambia consist of several different types of communications media: television, radio, cinema, newspapers, magazines, and Internet-based Web sites. The Ministry of Information, Broadcasting Services and Tourism is in charge of the Zambian News Agency which was founded in 1969.
