XHD-FM and XHZG-FM were two radio stations on 96.5 FM and 94.9 FM in Ixmiquilpan, Hidalgo, part of the Radio y Televisión de Hidalgo state radio network. Radio Y Televisión De Hidalgo
Radio y Televisión de Hidalgo is the state television and radio agency of the Mexican state of Hidalgo. It also airs programming from Canal 22, Canal Once, TV UNAM and DW Español. RTVH was founded in 1982 and began broadcasting on TV that year, signing on XHPAH channel 3. Its Pachuca radio station came to air in December 1985. As a result of a legal error, the state radio network lost most of its coverage in 2022. Radio stations The Tlanchinol station, formerly XHIND-FM, is projected to return at an unspecified future date. The state network previously covered most of the state's population. Ixmiquilpan, Hidalgo
Ixmiquilpan (Otomi: Ntsʼu̱tkʼani) is a city and one of the 84 municipalities of Hidalgo, in central-eastern Mexico. It is located on the Mexico City/Nuevo Laredo Highway at km 170 in the central west part of the state of Hidalgo. The town of Ixmiquilpan is noted for its parish church, Church of San Miguel Arcángel, which contains a large series of murals done in the 16th century by native artists depicting Eagle and Jaguar warriors in battle, along with other pre-Hispanic imagery. History The first ethnic group to settle in the Mezquital Valley in Hidalgo state were a group of Otomies, who called themselves Hñahñus. Adolfo López Mateos (; 26 May 1909 – 22 September 1969) was a Mexican politician and lawyer who served as President of Mexico from 1958 to 1964. Previously, he served as Secretariat of Labor and Social Welfare, Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare from 1952 to 1957 and a Senate of the Republic (Mexico), Senator from the State of Mexico from 1946 to 1952. Beginning his political career as a campaign aide of José Vasconcelos during his run for president, López Mateos encountered repression from Plutarco Elías Calles, who attempted to maintain hegemony within the Institutional Revolutionary Party, National Revolutionary Party (PNR). He briefly abandoned politics and worked as a professor at the Autonomous University of Mexico State, becoming a member of the PNR (renamed Party of the Mexican Revolution) in 1941. The Otomi (; ) are an Indigenous people of Mexico inhabiting the central Mexican Plateau (Altiplano) region. The Otomi are an Indigenous people of the Americas who inhabit a discontinuous territory in central Mexico. They are linguistically related to the rest of the Otomanguean-speaking peoples, whose ancestors have occupied the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt for several thousand years.
