XHEHF-FM is a radio station on 89.1 FM in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. It is owned by Grupo Fórmula and carries its Trión format. History An antecedent of XHEHF was the first radio station to operate in the state of Sonora. Manuel Mascareñas built and signed on XEAF in 1934; soon after, he died, leaving the station to his brother Gastón. The early XEAF broadcast at a frequency of 990 kHz. XEAF's concession was revoked for political reasons in 1939, after Manuel Ávila Camacho made a presidential campaign stop in Nogales. While XEAF, whose owners sympathized with Ávila Camacho, began to cover the event, transmission staff pulled the plug, as stations were prevented from broadcasting political content; the concession was revoked a short time later. A concession was issued on June 14, 1941, for XEHF-AM as a 1,000-watt radio station on 1000 kHz, moved within several years to 1370 kHz. XHHER-FM is a noncommercial radio station on 105.9 FM in Hermosillo, Sonora. The concession for XHHER-FM is owned by Organiden, A.C., a civil association. History XHHER-FM was one of four stations awarded simultaneously by the IFT in Hermosillo on December 19, 2017, to resolve permit applications filed prior to 2014. Organiden, A.C., had filed for its station on August 30, 2013. In the IFT's resolution clearing these applications, it was stated that Organiden was related with entities that owned two commercial radio stations. In early 2018, the other Organiden station, XHGYM-FM Guaymas, signed on. However, when the station signed on, it was operated by Larsa with the romantic format jettisoned two months earlier by XHVSS-FM 101.1. Hermosillo (), formerly called Pitic (as in ''Santísima Trinidad del Pitic'' and ''Presidio del Pitic''), is a city located in the center of the northwestern Mexican state of Sonora. Radio Fórmula is a Mexican talk radio network. Founded in 1968, Radio Fórmula programs are broadcast on more than 100 stations in Mexico as well as several stations in the United States. It is the flagship product of Grupo Fórmula, which also owns the TeleFórmula cable news network and PM Onstreet, an outdoor advertising firm. History Grupo Formula traces its beginnings to 1968, when several Mexico City stations were split from Emilio Azcárraga Vidaurreta’s Radiópolis system. Among these was XEDF-AM 970. By 1984, Radio Fórmula operated five Mexico City stations: 970 AM, 1470 AM, 1500 AM, 103.3 FM and 104.1 FM. Grupo Radiorama is the largest owner and operator of radio stations in Mexico. Founded in 1970, the company operated nearly 400 radio stations in 2014. History Radiorama was founded on December 9, 1970, by Javier Pérez de Anda and Adrián Pereda López.
