XHY-TDT
XHY-TDT is a television station in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico. The station is an independent known as SIPSE Televisión and owned by Grupo SIPSE. History XHY received its concession on January 29, 1963, and came to air just two days later. Broadcasting on channel 3, XHY was southeastern Mexico's first television station, jointly owned by Emilio Azcárraga Vidaurreta of Telesistema Mexicano and Andrés García Lavín, the owner of SIPSE. In 1994, XHY moved from channel 3 to channel 2 in order to allow Televisa to add a station in Mérida, XHMEN-TV with the Canal 5 network. XHCCU-TDT
XHCCU-TDT is a television station in Cancún, Quintana Roo. Broadcasting on virtual channel 8 from a studio and transmitter facility located in central Cancún, XHCCU is owned by Grupo SIPSE and is known as SIPSE TVCUN. History The station's concession was awarded to SIPSE in 1991 and its concession took effect in July 1992. Between December 2013 and January 2017, XHCCU branded as Gala TV Cancún. Ultra High Frequency
Ultra high frequency (UHF) is the ITU designation for radio frequencies in the range between 300 megahertz (MHz) and 3 gigahertz (GHz), also known as the decimetre band as the wavelengths range from one meter to one tenth of a meter (one decimeter). Radio waves with frequencies above the UHF band fall into the super-high frequency (SHF) or microwave frequency range. Lower frequency signals fall into the VHF ( very high frequency) or lower bands. Canal 6 (alternately known as Multimedios Televisión) is a network of Spanish language television stations primarily concentrated in northeastern Mexico and the southwestern United States. The system is part of Grupo Multimedios. The flagship station of Multimedios is XHAW-TDT located in Monterrey, Nuevo León. Mérida () is the capital of the Mexican state of Yucatán, and the largest city in southeastern Mexico. The city is also the seat of the eponymous Municipality. XHYU-FM is a radio station on 100.1 FM in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico. It is owned by Grupo SIPSE and carries Amor romantic format. History XHYU received its concession on February 19, 1993. It was owned by Mensaje Radiofónico, S.A., a subsidiary of Radiorama, and slated to broadcast on 100.9 MHz. Within five years, Radiorama had sold XHYU to Grupo ACIR. Emilio Azcárraga Vidaurreta (2 March 1895, Tampico, Tamaulipas – 23 September 1972, Mexico City) was a Mexican businessman who built an entertainment conglomerate. The son of Basque immigrants Mariano Azcárraga and Emilia Vidaurreta, his primary education was in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, middle school in San Antonio, Texas, and high school in Austin.
