History XEPT-AM 620 received its concession on October 6, 1960, originally to be located at Ciudad Pemex. The call sign later changed to XERTM-AM. By 1970, it was owned by Fausto Aguilar Saldivar and broadcast from Macuspana with 1,000 watts on 1150 kHz. The current concessionaire acquired it in 2003 and moved it to 850 kHz with 5,000 watts day and 1,000 night. XERTM was approved to migrate to FM on June 4, 2010, becoming XHRTM-FM 107.7. Macuspana is a city in Macuspana Municipality in the south-central part of the state of Tabasco in southeastern Mexico. The city of Macuspana had a 2005 census population of 30,661 and is the fifth-largest city in the state. It is the municipal seat of the municipality of Macuspana, which has an area of 2,551.7 km2 (985.22 sq mi) and a population of 142,954, which includes numerous smaller communities. The largest of these communities is Benito Juárez (San Carlos). It is the birthplace of Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the current Mexican President.
