XHMAXX-FM is a radio station on 98.1 FM in San Martín Texmelucan, San Martín Texmelucan, Puebla. The station is owned by Cinco Radio and known as Stereo Max, carrying a grupera format. History XHMAXX received its first concession on June 8, 1993, as XHSTX-FM, owned by Teleradio de Teziutlán, S.A. de C.V. The station was sold to Radio XHMAXX, S.A. de C.V., in 1998; the station may have signed on under the XHMAXX call sign, and it certainly did not have them by 1999 when the XHSTX call sign was reassigned in Santiago Tuxtla, Veracruz. San Martín Texmelucan
San Martín Texmelucan de Labastida is a city in the west-central part of the state of Puebla in Mexico, adjacent to the southwest corner of the state of Tlaxcala. It is the municipal seat of the municipality of San Martín Texmelucan. The city is the fifth-largest in the state of Puebla, with a 2020 census population of 155,738 inhabitants. On December 19, 2010, an oil pipeline at a Petroleos Mexicanos Pemex (a portmanteau of Petróleos Mexicanos, which translates to ''Mexican Petroleum'' in English; ) is the Mexican state-owned petroleum company managed and operated by the Mexican government. It was formed in 1938 by nationalization and expro ... (Pemex) pumping station in the city exploded, killing at least 27 people and injuring more than 50. 32 houses were destroyed and several times that many damaged. Santiago Tuxtla, Veracruz
Santiago Tuxtla is a small city and municipality in the Los Tuxtlas region of southern Veracruz, Mexico. The area was originally part of lands granted to Hernán Cortés by the Spanish Crown in 1531. The city was founded in 1525, but it did not gain municipal status until 1932. Today, the municipality is poor and agricultural, but is home to several unique traditions such as the Santiago Tuxtla Fair and the Acarreo de Niño Dios, when images of the Child Jesus are carried in procession several times during the Christmas season. It is also home to the Museo Regional Tuxteco (Tuxtla Regional Museum) which houses much of the area's Olmec artifacts, including a number of colossal heads and other monumental stone works.
