It was initially based in the town of El Pueblito in Villa Corregidora Municipality and broadcast as a 500-watt daytimer. In 1994, the station was sold to Radio XEGV de Querétaro, S.A. By this time the station had upgraded to 1,000 watts day and 500 watts night. In 2000, the concession was brought under the fold of Radio Integral, the concessionaire for Grupo ACIR. Grupo ACIR is a Mexican media company specializing in the operation of radio stations. It was established in 1965. ACIR is an acronym for ''Asociación de Concesionarios Independientes de Radio'' (Association of Independent Radio Concessionaires). History Grupo ACIR was founded on June 8, 1965, when Francisco Ibarra bought the XEDQ-AM (Radio Alegría) station in San Andrés Tuxtla, Veracruz. During the next two years, three new radio stations were integrated: XEOM-AM in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, XEMM-AM in Morelia, Michoacán, XEMIA-AM in Guadalajara, Jalisco; and three stations of amplitude modulation in the Mexico City: XEL-AM Radio Capital, XEFR-AM Radio Felicidad and XEVOZ-AM Radio Voz. Corregidora Municipality
Corregidora is a Mexican municipality in the southwest of the state Querétaro, on the border with Guanajuato. XHQTO-FM is a radio station on 97.9 FM in Querétaro. The station is owned by Grupo ACIR and airs the company's Match format of contemporary hit radio in English. History The station's concession was awarded in November 1994 to Aurora Ricco Pérez. The concession was sold to ACIR in 1998. Azul 97 (1994-2000'S) MIX FM (2000'S-2013) Radio Felicidad (2013-2017) After carrying its Radio Felicidad oldies format, Amor moved from XHJHS-FM 101.1 to XHQTO in August 2017.
