XHEXL-FM
XHEXL-FM is a radio station on 94.9 FM in Pátzcuaro, Michoacán. It is known as La Ley with a grupera format. History XEXL-AM 1020 received its concession on January 22, 1955. It was owned by Josefina Rodríguez de Laris and broadcast with 1,000 watts. In November 1982, the concession was transferred to a corporation. In the 1990s, XEXL moved to 690 kHz and increased its power to 1,500 watts. XHPAT-FM was a noncommercial radio station on 106.5 FM in Pátzcuaro, Michoacán. It was owned by Medios Radiofónicos Michoacán through permitholder Flavio René Acevedo and carries its format, which was carried on MRM's three permit stations in the state. XHPAT received its permit on August 1, 2012. MRM turned in the social concession and that of XHCHM-FM Ciudad Hidalgo on January 8, 2020, citing the state of the regional economy. HD Radio
HD Radio (HDR) is a trademark for an in-band on-channel (IBOC) digital radio broadcast technology. It generally simulcasts an existing analog radio station in digital format with less noise and with additional text information. HD Radio is used primarily by AM and FM radio stations in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with a few implementations outside North America. The term "on channel" is a misnomer because the system actually broadcasts on the ordinarily unused channels adjacent to an existing radio station's allocation. This leaves the original analog signal intact, allowing enabled receivers to switch between digital and analog as required. In most FM implementations, from 96 to 128 kbps of capacity is available. High-fidelity audio requires only 48 kbps so there is ample capacity for additional channels, which HD Radio refers to as "multicasting". The National Chamber of the Radio and Television Industry (Spanish: ''Cámara Nacional de la Industria de Radio y Televisión'', CIRT) is the broadcasters' association of Mexico. The CIRT represents all commercial broadcasters in the country. Its current president is broadcast lawyer José Antonio García Herrera, who has headed the organization since 2021.
