XHESON-FM
XHESON-FM is a radio station on 88.9 FM in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. It is owned by Grupo Radiorama and is known as La Poderosa. History XESON-AM 680 received its concession on November 12, 1988. It was owned by María del Socorro Martínez Contreras, María del Socorro, and María Eugenia Vidal Martínez. Ownership passed to Grupo ACIR in 2000. The station migrated to FM in 2011. ACIR sold most of its Sonora stations to Radiorama, which turned around and transferred operation of them to Larsa. Larsa operated the station with a Spanish adult hits format as ''Toño'', which was described as the company's "principal product" and its primary format. Hermosillo
Hermosillo (), formerly called Pitic (as in ''Santísima Trinidad del Pitic'' and ''Presidio del Pitic''), is a city located in the center of the northwestern Mexican state of Sonora. It is the municipal seat of the Hermosillo municipality, the state's capital and largest city, as well as the primary economic center for the state and the region. Grupo Radiorama is the largest owner and operator of radio stations in Mexico. Founded in 1970, the company operated nearly 400 radio stations in 2014. History Radiorama was founded on December 9, 1970, by Javier Pérez de Anda and Adrián Pereda López. The two founders had previous experience at other radio groups, such as Organización Radio Centro and Radiópolis. Radiorama started with 7 stations, but grew to 150 by 1985. Grupo ACIR is a Mexican media company specializing in the operation of radio stations. It was established in 1965. ACIR is an acronym for ''Asociación de Concesionarios Independientes de Radio'' (Association of Independent Radio Concessionaires). Los 40 (The 40, stylized as LOS40 and formerly ''Los 40 Principales'', es, Los Cuarenta) is a Top 40 music radio network and radio station brand in many Spanish-speaking countries from PRISA Radio.
