History XHDC began as XEDC-AM 1050, with a concession awarded to Radio Vinculación, S.A., on October 29, 1993. It was sold in 2000 and migrated to FM in 2011. The station had formerly been owned by ACIR outright and carried other formats, including a version of the news format then used on XHM-FM in Mexico City rebadged as "1050 Noticias". Aguascalientes (; ), officially the Free and Sovereign State of Aguascalientes ( es, Estado Libre y Soberano de Aguascalientes), is one of the 32 states which comprise the Federal Entities of Mexico. At 22°N and with an average altitude of above sea level it is predominantly of semi-arid climate ( Bhs and Bhk), and it is located in the northern part of the Bajío region, in north-central Mexico, bordered by Zacatecas to the north, east and west, and by Jalisco to the south. XHLTZ-FM is a radio station in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico. It broadcasts regional Mexican music on 106.1 FM as "La Ranchera". History XELTZ-AM 740 received its concession on April 30, 1979. It moved from Loreto in two stages, first to El Puertecito de la Virgen, and then to Aguascalientes proper in December 2002. XELTZ migrated to FM in 2010 and carried the FM Globo romantic format from MVS Radio and Radio Universal. In May 2011, the station was sold to Grupo Radiofónico ZER, which changed the station and renamed it La Tremenda. The present La Ranchera format was adopted in 2012. XHM-FM is a radio station in Mexico City. Located on 88.9 MHz, XHM-FM is owned by Grupo ACIR and currently broadcasts news and talk programming, along with blocks of Spanish-language rock from the 1980s and 1990s, as "88.9 Noticias". History The concession for 88.9 FM in Mexico City was issued in October 1962, to Santiago Ontañon Núñez, but it was not until the 1970s that the station began operations, known initially as "Un Oasis en FM" and later morphing into contemporary music-formatted "Sonido 89". The station's concession was given to Nuñez along with the concession for XHMM-FM, but the latter was later given to another concessionaire. The mid-1980s saw tumult for the station. Not long after becoming "Radio Metrópoli" and seeing its format move to 99.3 FM, the 1985 Mexico City earthquake severely damaged the station's studios and forced it off the air for a month.
