X-Faktor (series 2)
The second season of the Hungarian television music talent show X-Faktor ended on 18 December 2011. Tibor Kocsis was announced as the winner. It was broadcast on the privately owned RTL Klub television station. Auditions Auditions started in spring 2011, with thousands of candidates. Bootcamp Bootcamp was in Thalia Theatre where 150 singers competed. In the first round the contestants sang a song of their choice. The judges immediately told the contestants if they were safe or not. In the second round only 50 contestants competed and they chose a song for themselves from a list. After this, based on the judges decision, 24 contestants went to the third round called "Judges' houses". Judges' houses At this stage of the competition, each judge mentored six acts. Breakaway (Kelly Clarkson Song)
"Breakaway" is a song recorded by American singer Kelly Clarkson. The song, written by Matthew Gerrard, Bridget Benenate and Avril Lavigne, was originally intended for Lavigne's debut studio album, '' Let Go'' (2002). After being deemed unsuitable for the album, it was passed to Clarkson to be recorded as a soundtrack for the film '' The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement''. Clarkson, who was finishing her second studio album at that time, recorded "Breakaway" to tide her fans over until the first single from her new album was released. However, the song's success prompted its inclusion on Clarkson's second album where the record label decided to name the album after the song. Adagio in G minor for strings and organ, also known as Adagio in Sol minore per archi e organo su due spunti tematici e su un basso numerato di Tomaso Albinoni (Mi 26), is a neo-Baroque composition commonly attributed to the 18th-century Venetian master Tomaso Albinoni, but actually composed by 20th-century musicologist and Albinoni biographer Remo Giazotto, purportedly based on the discovery of a manuscript fragment by Albinoni. "All Rise" is a song by British boy band Blue. It was released in 21 May 2001 as the lead single from their debut album of the same name. "All Rise" was co-written and produced by Norwegian production team StarGate, who went on to produce several of Blue's biggest hits from 2001 to 2003. The song contains elements from the theme from '' The Pinchcliffe Grand Prix'' (1975), composed by Bent Fabricius-Bjerre. Gabi Tóth
Gabriella Tóth (born 17 January 1988), also known as Gabi Tóth, is a Hungarian singer. She has been an ''X-Faktor'' mentor since 2013. Her sister, Vera Tóth, is also a Hungarian singer, who won the first season of '' Megasztár''. Life Tóth began her career in the Autumn of 2004 the second season of Megasztár, where she placed third and also achieved the best female artist prize for 2005. Her debut album ''Fekete virág'' was released in 2005. Two of the songs, the titular ''Fekete virág'' and ''Vágyom rád'' had music videos. The album was released in concert in 2006 at Müpa Budapest with a live orchestral accompaniment and an opening with TNT in the evening. A single, ''Szívemet adnám'', was released in 2007, along with a video clip. Later that year, she starred in the VIVA Hungary reality show ''A Stáb'', along with Tamás Molnár and Linda Zimány, which became the most watched show of VIVA Hungary. "Could It Be Magic" is a song with lyrics by Adrienne Anderson and music by Barry Manilow, inspired by Frédéric Chopin's Prelude in C minor, Opus 28, Number 20. The song was initially released in 1971 by Featherbed (a group of session musicians featuring Barry Manilow), produced and co-written by Tony Orlando. It was later re-recorded as a Barry Manilow solo track in his first album released in 1973 on Bell Records.
