Wytze Kooistra
Wytze Kooistra (born 3 June 1982) is a Dutch volleyball player, a member of Netherlands men's national volleyball team and Dutch club Abiant Lycurgus Groningen. Career He began his career as a middle-blocker. In 2013, he played for his national team as a spiker, and now he is playing in this position at his club. Clubs His first professional club was Lycurgus. During the seasons 2002-2005, he played for Piet Zoomers. In 2005, he moved to Itas Diatec Trentino. In 2011, he moved to Polish PlusLiga team, PGE Skra Bełchatów. For a long time he was a reserve player. With the club from Bełchatów, Kooistra won the Polish Cup of 2012, a silver medal in the Polish Championship in the season 2011/2012 and in the Polish SuperCup of 2013. FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship
The FIVB Men's Volleyball Club World Championship is an international men's club volleyball competition organised by the ''Fédération Internationale de Volleyball'' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The competition was first contested in 1989 in Italy. It was not held between 1993 and 2008, but since 2009, the competition has been held every year, and has been hosted by Qatar and Brazil except in 2017 and 2018 where both hosted by Poland. The current champions are Brazil's Sada Cruzeiro, who defeated Italy's Trentino Itas (3–1) in the final of the 2024 and won their fifth title of the competition. Italian teams have been the most successful, with twelve titles, and in all editions but 2015, at least one Italian team take part in the event. CEV Champions League
The CEV Champions League is the top official competition for men's volleyball clubs from the whole of Europe. The competition is organised every year by the European Volleyball Confederation. Formula (2018–19 to present) Qualification A total of 20 teams participate in the main competition, with 18 teams being allocated direct vacancies on the basis of ranking list for European Cup Competitions, and 2 teams from the qualification rounds. League round 20 teams take part in the League round where they are split into 5 groups. The 2011–12 CEV Champions League was the 53rd edition of the highest level European volleyball club competition organised by the European Volleyball Confederation.
