Wumpscut Albums
Wumpscut (stylised as :wumpscut: or simply :w:) is a Gothic rock, gothic-influenced electro-industrial music project from Germany. It was founded in May 1991 by Bavarian disc jockey Rudolf "Rudy" Ratzinger (born 1966). Through 2016, Rudy Ratzinger released seventeen studio albums plus a number of compilations: demos, compilation tracks, and remixes from deleted singles and EPs. History Rudy Ratzinger is the sole member of Wumpscut, occasionally employing the help of guest artists (such as Aleta Welling, P·A·L, Selene etc.), although such collaborations were minimal in scope. Ratzinger cites the influence of such bands as Leæther Strip as his reason for making the transfer from DJing to recording music: "I was a DJ for several years and was tired of offering the audience only alien stuff. ''Stern'' (, German for "Star", stylized in all lowercase) is an illustrated, broadly left-liberal, weekly current affairs magazine published in Hamburg, Germany, by Gruner + Jahr, a subsidiary of Bertelsmann. Under the editorship (1948–1980) of its founder Henri Nannen, it attained a circulation of between 1.5 and 1.8 million, the largest in Europe's for a magazine of its kind. Unusually for a popular magazine in post-war West Germany, and most notably in the contributions to 1975 of Sebastian Haffner, ''Stern'' investigated the origin and nature of the preceding tragedies of German history. LP (format)
The LP (from long playing or long play) is an analog sound storage medium, specifically a phonograph record format characterized by: a speed of rpm; a 12- or 10-inch (30- or 25-cm) diameter; use of the "microgroove" groove specification; and a vinyl (a copolymer of vinyl chloride acetate) composition disk. Introduced by Columbia Records in 1948, it was soon adopted as a new standard by the entire US record industry and, apart from a few relatively minor refinements and the important later addition of stereophonic sound in 1957, it remained the standard format for record albums during a period in popular music known as the album era. LP was originally a trademark of Columbia and competed against the smaller 7-inch sized "45" or "single" format by RCA Victor, eventually ending up on top. Fritz Haarmann
Friedrich Heinrich Karl "Fritz" Haarmann (25 October 1879 – 15 April 1925) was a German serial rapist and serial killer, known as the Butcher of Hanover, the Vampire of Hanover and the Wolf Man, who committed the sexual assault, murder, mutilation and dismemberment of at least twenty-four young men and boys in the city of Hanover between 1918 and 1924. Found guilty of twenty-four of the twenty-seven murders for which he was tried, Haarmann was death sentence, sentenced to death by decapitation, beheading in December 1924. He was subsequently executed by guillotine in April 1925. ''Boeses Junges Fleisch'' is an album recorded by the German industrial act Wumpscut. It was released in Compact Disc format on Beton Kopf Media in 1999, under the catalogue number ETAH 9. It was first distributed in Europe by Nova Tekk, later in 2000 by Connected. It was released as a Seamless Audio Edition in 2002 and as a digipak version in 2004. All together, there are a total of at least six different versions of this album (including variating artwork and track lists). ''Bunkertor 7'' is an album recorded by the German industrial act, Wumpscut. It was released in Compact Disc format on Beton Kopf Media in 1997, with the catalog number ETAH 2. It was released under the title Bunker Gate Seven by Metropolis Records in North America. It was first distributed in Europe by Discordia, later in 1997 by Nova Tekk, and again by Connected in 2000 and 2002. There are at least ten different versions of the album (including varied artwork and track lists). ''Bunkertor 7'' was inspired by the 1981 short film by Caro/ Jeunet ''Le bunker de la dernière rafale'' (a.k.a. ''The Bunker of the Last Gunshots''). It contains samples from the movie, notably the alarm sound on "Dying culture". The images in the LP's booklet, including the cover are from the film. The Allied bombing of Hamburg during World War II included numerous attacks on civilians and civic infrastructure.
