Wudja Cudja
''Wudja Cudja'' was a UK-based gameshow created by British TV Producers Remy Blumenfeld and Gavin Hay hosted by Abbie Eastwood and Jayne Sharp, designed to see how far ordinary members of the public would be prepared to go to be on TV and win money. It debuted on ITV, and ran in reruns on ITV2 for two seasons. The series was first broadcast on 18 July 2002 and ran for twenty one-hour editions. Format The show would open with a monologue by the two hosts, usually loosely referencing what the contestants were to do, followed by a really quick montage of the following dares to come. Contestants were picked off the street at random, and most of the time, not even told what dare they were going to do prior, but what cash amount they were to receive. The show also usually had a big challenge where 1,000 GBP was up for grabs. These were usually accumulative three part challenges with each one getting worse. Remy Blumenfeld
Remy Blumenfeld (born 1965) is a British television producer and format creator, who co-founded the production company Brighter Pictures which he sold to Endemol in 2004. He is the TV format creator of '' There's Something About Miriam'', ''Gay, Straight or Taken?'', '' Wudja Cudja'' and '' Undercover Lovers''. According to ''The Guardian'', Blumenfeld has created and produced more than 30 original television series, which also include BBC1's ''Tabloid Tales with Piers Morgan'' and ''My Worst Week'', and BBC2's ''Get a New Life''. Life and career Blumenfeld was born in Paris, the son of American parents. His father Yorick Blumenfeld is a writer. His mother Helaine Blumenfeld is a sculptor. Jayne Sharp
Jayne Sharp is an English broadcaster who is a former host of ''Bingo Night Live'' on ITV. Early life Sharp is from Durkar in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Before presenting, Sharp went to the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside to study Media and Film, achieving a BA Hons degree. Her first job in TV was as a runner on ''Family Affairs'', and she also worked in ''Durkar Fisheries'', a fish and chip shop. ITV (TV Network)
ITV is a British free-to-air public broadcast television network. It was launched in 1955 as Independent Television to provide competition to BBC Television (established in 1936). ITV is the oldest commercial network in the UK. Since the passing of the Broadcasting Act 1990, it has been legally known as Channel 3 to distinguish it from the other analogue channels at the time, BBC1, BBC2 and Channel 4. ITV2
ITV2 is a British free-to-air television channel owned by ITV Digital Channels, a division of ITV plc. It was launched on 7 December 1998. For a number of years, it had the largest audience share after the five analogue terrestrial stations, a claim now held by its sister service ITV3 both of which are freely available to a majority of households. ''I Bet You Will'' is an Internet webcast, and later a show on MTV that paid people to do outrageous things for money. In 2008, reruns of the program began to air on Spike. It was created by Morgan Spurlock. The show was hosted by Spurlock, musician/TV host/model Willa Ford, musician Jive Jones, comedian Godfrey, and Hescher. Format The host selected a participant from a seemingly random group gathered on a street, at the beach, or on a college campus. The M.C. (Master of Ceremonies) then presented the stunt and told the player how much money they would win if the dare was successfully completed. If the contestant rejected the amount of money, the host usually raised the bet. As soon as a bet was agreed upon, the player attempted the stunt. If successful, the contestant won the money.
