Wretchrospective
''Wretchrospective'' is the debut studio album released by British hip hop recording artist Wretch 32. The album was released on 13 October 2008, on the Hip Hop Village label. Not having been released on a major label, the album failed to chart on the UK Albums Chart. "In da Ghetto" and "Be Cool" were released as singles from the album prior to its release. The album features guest appearances from Ghetto, Chipmunk, MC Boachie, Scorcher, Haydon, Badness and Calibar. The video for "In da Ghetto" features appearances from Ghetto and Badness, and the video for "Be Cool" features an appearance from Wizzy Wow. Background Production on the album began in January 2007, after the release of Wretch's second mixtape, ''Teacher's Training Day'', which featured guest appearances from Ghetts, Bashy and Scorcher, in 2006. Wretch 32
Jermaine Sinclaire Scott (born 9 March 1985), better known by his stage name Wretch 32, is a British rapper, singer and songwriter from Tottenham, North London. He was a member of the grime collective Combination Chain Gang, before forming The Movement with Scorcher, Ghetts, and Mercston. In 2011, Wretch 32 had three top-five charting songs from debut album ''Black and White'' and amassed over a million record sales, including the single " Don't Go" which peaked at number-one on the UK Singles Chart. In 2012, he was employed by both Adidas and Coca-Cola as one of the main faces of their London 2012 Olympics campaigns and on 1 July 2012, he won 'Best International Act' at the 2012 BET Awards. Isra Andja-Diumi Lohata (born 12 June 1989), better known as Wizzy Wow, is a songwriter, musician and music-producer under the Renowned Label. Scorcher (rapper)
Tayó Grant Jarrett (born 5 April 1986), better known as Scorcher, is an English grime MC, songwriter and actor from Edmonton, London. He was previously a member of the grime collective The Movement and is signed to Blue Colla Music. Career 2005–08: Early career He began his career in Cold Blooded where he became known for his "shank" bars, and would regularly attend pirate radio and work his way up through the North London grime circuit. Scorcher served a short prison sentence in 2006 for driving offences, and while in jail his mixtape ''Simply the Best'' was released and was greeted with good reviews from the grime scene. ''Black and White'' is the second studio album and major label debut by British hip hop recording artist Wretch 32. The album was released in the United Kingdom on 21 August 2011 through Ministry of Sound, debuting at number four on the UK Albums Chart with first week sales of nearly 25,000 copies. Derek Andrew Safo (born 5 September 1982), better known by his stage name Sway or Sway DaSafo, is a British rapper of Ghanaian descent.
