''Wreck-It Ralph'', sometimes also referred to simply as ''Ralph'', is a Disney media franchise primarily consisting of an animated comedy film series produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The series tells the story of the eponymous arcade game villain named Wreck-It Ralph, who rebels against his "bad guy" role and dreams of becoming a hero. The series has grossed $1 billion worldwide. The series is notable for featuring cameos of characters from licensed properties including video games and various Disney franchises. Rich Moore
Rich Moore (born ) is an American film and television animation director, screenwriter and voice actor. He is best known for serving as a director on primetime animated television series such as ''The Simpsons'', ''The Critic'' and ''Futurama'' as well as directing the films ''Wreck-It Ralph'' (2012), '' Zootopia'' (2016) and ''Ralph Breaks the Internet'' (2018) for Walt Disney Animation Studios. He is a two-time Emmy Award winner, a three-time Annie Award winner and an Academy Award winner. Early life Moore grew up in Oxnard, California. He studied film and video at the California Institute of the Arts, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1987. While there, he narrated Jim Reardon's 1986 student film '' Bring Me the Head of Charlie Brown''.
