Wrangled
''Wrangled'' is the second solo studio album by outlaw country singer and country music trio Pistol Annies member Angaleena Presley. It was released via Thirty Tigers Records on April 21, 2017. Background ''Wrangled'' contains several songs with noteworthy collaborations. "Dreams Don't Come True" reunites Presley with her Pistol Annies bandmates Ashley Monroe and Miranda Lambert. Chris Stapleton co-wrote "Only Blood", which features Stapleton's wife Morgane on vocals. Wanda Jackson, known as "Queen of Rockabilly," co-wrote "Good Girl Down" with Presley and Vanessa Olivarez. "Cheer Up Little Darling", a song Presley co-wrote with Guy Clark, was the final song Clark completed before he died on May 17, 2016. As a tribute, Shawn Camp played Clark's mandola and his No. 10 guitar (which was used to write the song). Audio of Clark reciting the first verse is heard in the song before Presley starts singing. Angaleena Presley
Angaleena Loletta McCoy Presley (born September 1, 1976) is an American country music singer-songwriter. She is a member of the country trio Pistol Annies, which was formed in 2011 with Miranda Lambert and Ashley Monroe, and has released two solo albums, ''American Middle Class'' (2014) and ''Wrangled'' (2017). Career In 2000, Presley moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where she landed a publishing deal nine months later. Through her publisher she met Ashley Monroe, who later brought Presley's music to the attention of her friend Miranda Lambert. The three artists began working together writing songs, which would later become Pistol Annies' debut album '' Hell on Heels'', released on August 23, 2011. Critical reception ''American Middle Class'' received highly positive reviews from music critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album has an average score of 84 out of 100, which indicates "universal acclaim" based on nine reviews. In a four out of five star review Stephen Thomas Erlewine of AllMusic writes that the album "will linger for some time to come." In the three and a half out of five star review from ''Rolling Stone''s Jonathan Bernstein, he remarks how it is an "impressive solo debut". Guy Charles Clark (November 6, 1941 – May 17, 2016) was an American folk and country singer-songwriter and luthier. He released more than 20 albums, and his songs have been recorded by other artists, including Townes Van Zandt, Jerry Jeff Walker, Jimmy Buffett, Kathy Mattea, Lyle Lovett, Ricky Skaggs, Steve Wariner, Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, Steve Earle, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Nanci Griffith and Chris Stapleton.
