Worlingham is a village and civil parish in the East Suffolk (district), East Suffolk district of the English county of Suffolk. It is about east of Beccles, with the two places effectively joined to form one urban area. At the United Kingdom Census 2011, 2011 census it had a population of 3,745; the combined population of Beccles and Worlingham is 13,868. Worlingham Hall
Worlingham Hall is a Grade I listed Georgian country house in Worlingham, to the east of Beccles in the English county of Suffolk. The hall was built in the 18th century, possibly based on an earlier 17th century house, and as of 2014 is a country house hotel. The A145 is an A road in the English county of Suffolk. It runs from east of the town of Beccles, close to the border with Norfolk, to the village of Blythburgh where it joins the A12 road. Waveney (UK Parliament Constituency)
Waveney was a constituency of in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament that existed from 1983 to 2024. It returned one Member of Parliament (MP) to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Under the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, the constituency reverted to its previous name of Lowestoft. Other than the town of Bungay, the abolished seat of Waveney has little in common with the new ‘ Waveney Valley’ constituency, which covers a predominantly rural area bridging Norfolk and Suffolk. Waveney District
Waveney was a local government district in Suffolk, England, named after the River Waveney that formed its north-east border. The district council was based in Lowestoft, the major settlement in Waveney. The other towns in the district were Beccles, Bungay, Halesworth and Southwold. The district was formed on 1 April 1974, under the Local Government Act 1972, as a merger of the municipal boroughs of Beccles, Lowestoft and Southwold, along with Bungay and Halesworth urban districts, Wainford Rural District and part of Lothingland Rural District. Ellough is a civil parish in the East Suffolk (district), East Suffolk district of the English county of Suffolk, located approximately south-east of Beccles. The area is sparsely populated with a mid-2005 population estimate of 40. The parish, which has an area of , borders Worlingham, North Cove, Mutford, Weston, Suffolk, Weston, Sotterley, Willingham St Mary and Henstead with Hulver Street. The Broads
The Broads (known for marketing purposes as The Broads National Park) is a network of mostly navigable rivers and lakes in the English counties of Norfolk and Suffolk. Although the terms "Norfolk Broads" and "Suffolk Broads" are correctly used to identify specific areas within the two counties respectively, the whole area is frequently referred to as the Norfolk Broads. The lakes, known as broads, were formed by the flooding of peat workings. East Suffolk District Council
East Suffolk is a local government district in Suffolk, England. The largest town is Lowestoft, which contains Ness Point, the easternmost point of the United Kingdom.
