World War III (Mac Album)
''World War III'' is the third solo studio album by American rapper Mac. It was released on September 28, 1999 via No Limit/Priority Records. Production was handled by XL, Carlos Stephens, Renior, Raj Smoove, Suga Bear, Bass Heavy, Big Gene, DJ Wop, Ke'Noe, and Mac himself. It features guest appearances from Magic, Ms. Peaches, Samm, Storm, Calliope Popeye, C-Murder, D.I.G., Master P, Mia X, Renior, Sons of Funk, Suga Bear and XL. In the United States, the album debuted at number 44 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and number 6 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. Along with a promotional single, an accompanying music video was released for the song "War Party" premiered on '' Rap City''. McKinley Phipps, Jr. (born July 30, 1977), better known simply as Mac, is an American rapper from New Orleans' 3rd Ward. He began rapping as a child, releasing his debut album ''The Lyrical Midget'' at the age of 13 in 1990, under the stage name ''Lil Mac''. Mac would eventually sign with Master P's No Limit Records and would grow to be one of the most critically acclaimed artists on the label, both as a solo rapper and as a member of the super group 504 Boyz. Mac released two solo albums and one album as part of the 504 Boyz on No Limit, including 1998's Shell Shocked, which peaked at No. 11 on the US ''Billboard'' 200. In 2001, Mac was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 30 years in prison at the Elayn Hunt Correctional Center in Louisiana, and was released on parole on June 22, 2021, after serving 20 years of his sentence. It is published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine to convey the popularity of an artist or groups of artists. Skull Duggery (rapper)
Andrew Jordan (September 24, 1971 – June 4, 2022), better known as Skull Duggery, was an American rapper best known for his time spent with Master P's No Limit Records in the late 1990s. Skull Duggery made his first appearance on No Limit's 1995 compilation, '' Down South Hustlers: Bouncin' and Swingin''' on the song entitled "Darkside". About a year later, Master P released a trailer on Silkk the Shocker's first album '' The Shocker'' promoting Duggery's debut album, and setting the album's release date for September 24, 1996, but the release was pushed back to a week later. Vyshonn King Miller (born June 18, 1975), better known by his stage name Silkk the Shocker (formerly Silkk), is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana.
