World Violation Tour
The World Violation Tour was a 1990 concert tour by English electronic group Depeche Mode in support of the act's seventh studio album, '' Violator''. It was estimated that by the end of the tour, Depeche Mode had toured to 1.2 million fans. Background Depeche Mode's previous tour, the Music for the Masses Tour, had run from late 1987 to the middle of 1988, and was supported by the live video and record release of '' 101'' in early 1989. ''Violator'' was released in March 1990 and had already seen two successful singles to support it, "Personal Jesus" and " Enjoy the Silence" by the time the tour started. Depeche Mode are an English electronic music, electronic band formed in Basildon, Essex in 1980. Bomb the Bass is an electronic music alias of English musician and producer Timothy Simenon (born June 1967). As a name, Bomb the Bass came from Simenon's approach to collaging and mixing sounds whilst DJing in the mid- to late 1980s; he says "samples were either scratched in live or sampled and looped on top of the rhythm section. So the concept was one of bombing the bass line with different ideas, with a collage of sounds. Bombing was a graffiti term for writing, like people would 'bomb' trains or whatever." "Everything Counts" is a song by the English electronic music band Depeche Mode from their third studio album, ''Construction Time Again'' (1983). A live version of the song was released in 1989 to support the band's live album '' 101''. The original single reached No. 6 on the UK Singles Chart, whereas the live version reached No. 22. Andy Fletcher (musician)
Andrew John Fletcher (8 July 1961 – 26 May 2022), also known as Fletch, was an English keyboard player and founding member of the electronic band Depeche Mode. In 2020, he and the band were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Early life Fletcher was the eldest of four siblings born to Joy and John Fletcher. The family moved to Basildon from Nottingham when he was two years old, when his father, an engineer, was offered a job at a cigarette factory. He was active in the local Boys' Brigade from an early age, primarily to play football. He attended Nicholas Comprehensive where he was in the same sixth form class as Martin Gore and Alison Moyet. Alan Charles Wilder (born 1 June 1959) is an English musician, composer, arranger, record producer and member of the electronic band Depeche Mode from 1982 to 1995.
