World Land Trust
World Land Trust is a UK registered charity. Acting on its tagline of "Saving Land, Saving Species", the trust raises money to buy and then protect environmentally-threatened land, and therefore species, in Africa, Asia, and Central and South America. Since 1989, 1.1 million ha have been directly saved across all WLT programmes. A further 1.3 million ha have been co-funded by WLT. At the time of writing, 2,361,353 ha have been protected by WLT partners in all and 11,452,226 ha have been connected by WLT-funded corridors and extensions. The golden poison frog (''Phyllobates terribilis''), also known as the golden dart frog or golden poison arrow frog, is a poison dart frog endemism, endemic from the rainforests of Colombia. The golden poison frog has become endangered due to habitat destruction within its naturally limited range. Despite its small size, this frog is considered to be the most poisonous extant animal species on the planet. Chocó–Darién Moist Forests
The Chocó–Darién moist forests (NT0115) is a largely forested, tropical ecoregion of northwestern South America and southern Central America. The ecoregion extends from the eastern Panamanian province of Darién and the indigenous region of Guna Yala to almost the entirety of Colombia's Pacific coast, including the departments of Cauca, Chocó, Nariño and Valle del Cauca. This largely untouched, inaccessible expanse of jungle receives some of the planet's highest rates of precipitation, with the average rainfall measuring anywhere from 4,000 mm to 9,000 mm (around 13-30 ft) per year.
