World Interuniversity Games
The World Interuniversity Games is an international sports event, which was organised by IFIUS (International Federation for Interuniversity Sport) each year in October. It is currently organised by Committee Panathlon Clubs of Universities, after IFIUS was disbanded and integrated inside Panathlon International in 2011. IFIUS
IFIUS (International Federation for Interuniversity Sport) was a democratic non-profit organisation whose main objective was to organise the yearly World Interuniversity Games, in which teams of students from different universities and colleges worldwide competed in different sport competitions. In 2011, IFIUS was disbanded and integrated into Panathlon International, Panathlon. History Until 2003 the games were held on weekends during the year. From 2004 they were held in a one-week period in October. 2007 World Interuniversity Games
The 2007 World Interuniversity Games were the ninth edition of the Games (organised by IFIUS), and were held in Vienna, Austria, from October 1 to October 5, 2007. Hosting Vienna was selected as host city for the Games. The host university was Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien).
