Woodbridge station is a train station in Woodbridge, Virginia. It serves Amtrak's ''Northeast Regional'' line and Virginia Railway Express's Fredericksburg Line. Woodbridge is a commuter railroad station in Woodbridge Township, Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. Located on NJ Transit's North Jersey Coast Line, it is one of three active railroad stations in the eponymous township, including Avenel to the north on the same line and Metropark station on the Northeast Corridor Line. Woodbridge station is located on Pearl Street at the intersection with Brook Street, where stairs to the single island platform that serves trains are located. Railroad service through downtown Woodbridge began on October 11, 1864, with the opening of the Perth Amboy and Woodbridge Railroad, a branch of the New Jersey Railroad, which would become the Pennsylvania Railroad. The first station depot was built in 1873 and was built at a level where the train cars would meet the platform at level. Discussions began in March 1882 to replace the depot. Woodbridge railway station is on the East Suffolk Line in the east of England, serving the town of Woodbridge, Suffolk. It is down the line from and measured from London Liverpool Street; it is situated between and Melton. Its three-letter station code is WDB. The station was opened in 1859. Today it is managed by Abellio Greater Anglia, which also operates all trains that call. History The railway line connecting the East Suffolk Railway (ESR) at with the Eastern Union Railway (EUR) (although since 1854 this had been leased by the Eastern Counties Railway) at was built in two parts: the portion of this line south of Woodbridge was built by the EUR; Woodbridge station and the portion of line north of there was built by the ESR.
