Woodbridge, Irvine, California
Woodbridge is a large suburban housing development, begun in 1975 by the Irvine Company, in the central region of Irvine, California. It covers 2.65 square miles and has two large artificial lakes at its center. It contains four public elementary schools, two public middle schools (Lakeside and South Lake), and Woodbridge High School. Most of the developments were completed by the mid-1990s. In 2013, development began on the first new housing tract in 15 years, consisting of 48 new homes called The Branches. Location and boundaries Woodbridge is located from Irvine Center Drive to the Interstate 405, between Culver Drive and Jeffrey Road. The Irvine Company LLC is an American private company focused on real estate development. It is headquartered in Newport Beach, California, with a large portion of its operations centered in and around Irvine, California, a planned city of more than 300,000 people mainly designed by the Irvine Company. Irvine () is a Planned community, planned city in central Orange County, California, United States, in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. It was named in 1888 for the landowner James Irvine. Woodbridge High School (Irvine, California)
Woodbridge High School (WHS) is a public high school located in Irvine, California, United States, serving grades 9–12. Woodbridge is in the Irvine Unified School District. Founded in 1980, it has an approximate enrollment of 2,400 students. The school is located in the neighborhood of the same name. Greg Cops was the founding principal and retired in 2002. The current administrative staff as of 2020 includes principal Christopher Krebs and assistant principals Carlene McCurry, Angela Pimentel, and Linzi Gorzycki. Woodbridge has had many improvements and renovations. A recent example is the new Aquatic Center which contains a 50 meter by 25 yard swimming pool, portable bleachers, restroom facilities and locker rooms. Interstate 405 (California)
Interstate 405 (I-405, locally referred to as the 405) is a major north–south auxiliary Interstate Highway in Southern California. The entire route is known as the northern segment of the San Diego Freeway. Culver Drive (Irvine, California)
Culver Drive is a major arterial road in Irvine, Orange County, California, running approximately from southwest to northeast. Its southwest end is at its junction with Anteater Drive and Shady Canyon Drive, at the meeting point of the Turtle Rock, Turtle Ridge, and University Hills neighborhoods of Irvine. However, the road continues to the southwest under different names, Bonita Canyon Drive and then Ford Road, through a junction with California State Route 73 and into Newport Beach. At its northwest end, Culver Drive ends at its junction with Furrow in the Orchard Hills neighborhood of Irvine. Privet
A privet is a flowering plant in the genus ''Ligustrum''. The genus contains about 50 species of erect, deciduous or evergreen shrubs or trees, with a native distribution from Europe to tropical and subtropical Asia, and with one species each native to Australia and north Africa.
