Wong Tai Sin District Recreation & Sports Council (, abbreviated as WTS DRSC, also known as Wong Tai Sin) is a football club which currently plays in the Hong Kong First Division League. It is operated by Wong Tai Sin District Council. History Founded in 1979, Wong Tai Sin joined the Third Division League in 1980s. In 1990, due to the expansion of Second Division League, the club was being promoted to the second-tier division. In their first Second Division season, the club placed second in the league table, meaning they had gained promotion to the First Division for the first time in club history. However, they refused to promote eventually, and remained in the Second Division. The club was relegated to the Third Division after spending nine seasons in the second-tier division in the 1998–99 season, as they placed 10th out of eleven teams. Po Kong Village Road Park
Po Kong Village Road Park () is a sports ground located in Diamond Hill, Hong Kong. The footprint of the park covers 9 hectares and contains various amenities including football pitches, a 1 km cycling track, an amphitheatre and a car park. The park is open 24 hours a day. Football The two pitches inside the park are frequently rented by various Hong Kong football clubs representing various levels of the Hong Kong pyramid. A 1,000 seat grandstand is located on the west side of the pitches with men's and ladies' change rooms and toilets within. Hong Kong First Division League
The Hong Kong First Division League () is the second-highest division in the Hong Kong football league system. Established in 1908, it is the third oldest in Asia. The league was formerly the highest division in Hong Kong until the formation of the Hong Kong Premier League in 2014. Since 1908, a total of 29 clubs have been crowned champions of the Hong Kong football system. South China are the most successful club, having won 41 times since their first participation in 1941. Competition format Each team plays the other teams in the division twice, one home and one away game. The ticket profits go to the home team. If there are two matches in the same stadium on the day, the profits are shared between the two home teams. The top two teams in the league are offered promotion to the Premier League while the bottom two are relegated to the Hong Kong Second Division. 2021–22 Hong Kong First Division League
The 2021–22 Hong Kong First Division League is the 8th season of Hong Kong First Division since it became the second-tier football league in Hong Kong in 2014–15. The season began on 19 September 2021. Format Promotion and relegation was suspended during the 2020–21 season and the season was shortened to a single round-robin due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Hong Kong. The Wong Tai Sin District Council () is one of 18 such district councils in Hong Kong, representing the Wong Tai Sin District. Sun Hei Sports Club () is a Hong Kong football club which currently competes in the Hong Kong Third Division. The club has a long history in playing in the top flight, but decided to self-relegate in the 2013–14 season after declining to participate in the newly established Hong Kong Premier League.
