Wolfgang J. Fuchs
Wolfgang J. Fuchs (16 September 1945 – 20 January 2020) was a German nonfiction author, journalist, comics scholar, comics author, comics translator and film expert. He co-wrote the first standard work in German on comics as an art form, published in 1971. He translated comics such as ''Prince Valiant'', '' Garfield'', and '' Mom's Cancer'' by Brian Fies. The translated book ''Mutter hat Krebs'' was awarded the 2007 Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis. Life Wolfgang J. Fuchs was born in Unsleben, Lower Franconia. He studied civil engineering for one semester and then switched to studying ' (print media) with secondary topics American studies and English studies. Fuchs was among the first German authors who took comics seriously. With , with whom he grew up and studied, he wrote standards such as ''Comics. Unsleben
Unsleben is a municipality in the district of Rhön-Grabfeld in Bavaria in Germany. Geography Unsleben is located in the Main-Rhön area. Near its south-east fringes, the brook Els flows into the stream Streu. History Unsleben was mentioned in the documents first in 1162 as a habitation of a local noble family. The Bishopric of Würzburg shared its authority with the noblemen von Habermann until it was secularised in the year 1803 for the benefit of Bavaria. In 1805 the area was exchanged with Tyrol and was conclusively incorporated into Bavaria in the year 1814 together with the tenurial of the von Habermanns. The administrative reform in Bavaria led in 1818 to the contemporary municipality of Unsleben. Heywood "Woody" Allen (born Allan Stewart Konigsberg; November 30, 1935) is an American film director, writer, actor, and comedian whose career spans more than six decades and multiple Academy Award-winning films. He began his career writing material for television in the 1950s, mainly '' Your Show of Shows'' (1950–1954) working alongside Mel Brooks, Carl Reiner, Larry Gelbart, and Neil Simon.
