Alan Wolfe (born 1942) is an American political science, political scientist and a sociologist on the faculty of Boston College who serves as director of the Boisi Center for Religion and American Public Life. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Future of American Democracy Foundation, a nonprofit, nonpartisan foundation in partnership with Yale University Press and the Yale Center for International and Area Studies, "dedicated to research and education aimed at renewing and sustaining the historic vision of American democracy". Steven Haworth (born 23 January 1972), better known by his ring name Nigel McGuinness, is an English professional wrestler and commentator. He is signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he serves as a color commentator on ''Collision'' as well as an occasional in-ring talent. He is known for work with Ring of Honor, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Noah and WWE. Haworth started his career in 1999 in the American independent circuit as Nigel McGuinness. He was a prolific short story writer and novelist who won many literary awards. Wolfe has been called "the Melville of science fiction", and he was honored as a Grand Master by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America. Elsie de Wolfe, Lady Mendl ( Ella Anderson de Wolfe; December 20, c. 1859 – July 12, 1950) was an American actress who became a prominent interior designer and author. Lieutenant General Edward Wolfe (1685 – 26 March 1759) was a British army officer who saw action in the War of the Spanish Succession, 1715 Jacobite rebellion and the War of Jenkins' Ear. He is best known as the father of James Wolfe, famous for his capture of Quebec in 1759. Early life Wolfe was born in 1685 in York. The family had moved to England from Ireland and was of Catholic ethnoreligious descent. They later converted to Protestantism. Wolfe acquired a commission as a lieutenant in 1700, rising quickly to captain in 1705 and becoming a brigade major during the Flanders Campaign of the Duke of Marlborough.
