Wojeck
''Wojeck'' is a Canadian dramatic television series, which aired on CBC Television from 1966 to 1968. It was arguably the first successful drama series on English Canadian television, and was the first TV series anywhere to regularly feature and focus on forensic pathology in the investigation of crime. Consequently, ''Wojeck'' has been hailed as an early forerunner of several successful shows that later explored the same genre, including '' The Expert'' (1968–76), '' Quincy, M.E.'' (1976–83), '' CSI: Crime Scene Investigation'' (2000–15), and ''Bones'' (2005–2017), among many others. The de facto pilot for the show, produced in Canada by the CBC and featuring the entire cast of the series, aired as an episode of '' Bob Hope Presents the Chrysler Theatre'' titled "Tell Them the Streets Are Dancing" (broadcast March 17, 1966). Carl Banas
Carl Banas (January 23, 1930 – April 1, 2020) was a Canadian radio personality and voice actor, known for his voice roles in ''Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer'' (1964) and '' The Raccoons'' (1980–1992). As a television actor, he appeared in the series ''Wojeck'' as police detective Byron James, and provided voices for numerous TV series and features. He was also known as a radio personality on Toronto radio stations CKFM-FM and MIX 99.9 (currently known as Virgin Radio 999) in the 1970s and 1980s. He mainly hosted weekday evenings, and was known for his deep voice, smooth manner, and vignettes about Toronto. Additionally, he performed live readings of Charles Dickens' ''A Christmas Carol'' every year before Christmas, utilizing his voice skills to play multiple characters. John Keith Vernon (born Adolphus Raymondus Vernon Agopsowicz; February 24, 1932 February 1, 2005) was a Canadian actor. He made a career in Hollywood after achieving initial television stardom in Canada. Ron Kelly
Ron Kelly (born June 11, 1929 in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian film director and screenwriter. He began his career with the CBC film unit, directing many short and documentary films between 1952 and 1964. He traveled to France, Spain and Mexico producing and directing documentaries independently from 1956 to 1958. From 1959 to 1962 he studied at Pinewood Studios, England, on a Canadian Arts Council fellowship and while there produced and directed documentaries for the BBC, CBC and National Office of Film, UK. Morton Shulman (25 April 1925 – 18 August 2000) was a Canadian politician, businessman, broadcaster, columnist, coroner, and physician. The Expert (TV Series)
''The Expert'' is a British television series produced by the BBC between 1968 and 1976. It ran for 62 episodes over four series. The series starred Marius Goring as Dr. (later Professor) John Hardy, a forensic pathologist based in Warwickshire working for the Home Office. It was essentially a police procedural drama, with Hardy bringing his forensic knowledge to solve various cases. He was sometimes assisted in his work by his wife Jo, a GP, played by Ann Morrish; the cases he investigated were usually in conjunction with detectives Fleming ( Victor Winding) and Ashe (Michael Farnsworth) of the Warwickshire police. The fourth series (from 1976) was produced and transmitted several years after the first three (which were broadcast between 1968 and 1971).
